"Good as gold gardening gave these people an estimate for the retaining wall and preparation grading they desired. They decided the total job cost was too much for them. They really liked working with the owner of the company, so they hired another guy outside of the company, that didn't speak English and only had experience in hack n slash garden cleanup to do the professional level grading for the wall (which was on a steep hill). He did an poor job. Good as gold gardening came by-punctually to begin the job of installing the wall and told the clients that the wall would not be straight because the soil would have to be re-graded. What had been incorrectly done by the cheaper guy was not good. They refused to pay for the proper grading. They then demanded I begin construction or leave. Good as gold did the construction and the clients were unsatisfied. Good as gold came back several times from San Francisco down to Belmont to consult with them to find a solution that would satisfy them. Good as gold purchased more wall material and put a face on the wall to make it all appear level from the patio at the expense of a full day's labor to Good as gold free of charge. They said they were happy and satisfied. Then I found out they were omitting important facts and bad-mouthing the company online so here we are. Don't believe all the reviews you read online. Good as gold was nothing but professional, punctual, cordial, used the best quality material, and bent over backwards to satisfy these clients."
