I thought that the price was fair and they were timely and responsive.

I had a in-law apartment kitchen sink drain that was draining very slowly and use of other drains upstairs caused gurgling downstairs.  Finally when I was rinsing out a soap dispenser in the upstairs kitchen soap bubbles came up into the sink downstairs.  After Drano proved to do absolutely nothing it was time for a plumber.
I called Ace in the morning and they came over at 2 PM that same afternoon.  They wouldn't mention a price over the phone without seeing the situation in person; the charge to clear the drain was $185.  That price seemed high but they showed up exactly when expected and the plumber seemed extremely knowledgable and was friendly.  In the process of checking all out I asked if they install garbage disposals.  They had one in the truck and the cost to clear the drain, sell and install the garbage disposal plus replace a cracked drain pipe under the sink was $360.  It was all done within an hour and everything has been working great ever since.  It was easy and reliable one stop shopping.  I would absolutely use them again!

We had a tub with a a broken hot-water tap and I thought I would need to break through the tiling to replace the whole faucet, or extract the stem and wait for a hard-to-find replacement at a future visit. Instead, he took one look at it and figure out a simple solution consisting in drilling holes (in his truck) on the water taps I already had, thus enabling him to fit them snugly. Works like a charm. I was really impressed that he found such a simple practical solution (but one I could not have implemented without his expertise or tools) and acted on it promptly and effectively. Super professional and competent, and very reasonably priced too. Absolutely recommended.

Thorough job. After using another plumber 2 months ago, called Ace thru Angie's. Omar is a 2nd gen plumber & learned tricks of the trade at his dads knee. He double checked to make sure drain operated properly & offered tips to keep it clear.

I hate when I call someone in and they make be feel like an idiot. Well, this time I actually was an idiot... but the dudes from Ace Plumbing were super prompt and polite and didn't make any sarcastic comments about how easy of a fix it was.

the toilet in this rental unit has been an issue. slower than normal flush.  i had plumber (recommended by HOA PM) out last year, twice.  He failed to snake out anything significant.  And told me the flush was normal for low flush toilets and gave care list instruction.  
my tenants called re overflow.  I decided to try a plumber from Angie's list.  Found Ace Plumber.    Phillip showed up on time.  he was very patient.  Unlike the previous plumbers, he did not give up after a few clean snakes.  Finally he fished out dental floss.  he continued and got them all.  he cleaned up the area. he tested many times.  When he was done, I knew the toilet issue is a past thing.
Thank you Phillip, thank you ace plumber.  I definitely will be a repeat client.  I highly recommend Ace Plumber.  

Ignore the price grade.  I have no frame of reference for comparison.  I would have left "price" ungraded but Angie's List requires an entry.  I could go to Home Depot to buy a snake for less than this cost, BUT this presupposed that: [a] I have the time [b] the knowledge a'priori to know that a snake is sufficient [c] can buy an off-the-shelf snake that is long enough to reach the soil main from my toilet. 
We have a lowboy toilet and it clogs all the time; I am _really_ not a fan of this form factor, but hey - it's a rental.  What can you do?  We finally ran into a clog that we could not clear by hand (don't ask) or with a plunger.  (These low boys also have very deep, square drain making it hard to fit a conventional plunger over the hole).  I found Ace on Angie's List, read the reviews, and called.  As per earlier reviews, they answered quickly, were able to schedule someone virtually immediately (later that afternoon) and provided me with a time arrival in a narrow window (an hour, I think).  This was all "on demand" but with a 1Bath apartment, you are pretty much stuck and when you cannot clear it yourself, you do what you have to do. 
I am embarrassed to admit that I cannot remember the vendors name b/c I am waiting so long to write this review, but the vendor was GREAT.  He arrived at the front end of his time window, covered his shoes to walk into our apartment.  Diagnosed the problem quickly, got the snake out, and went to work.  His snake was/is longer than the one we actually had from Home Depot ... don't know how you are otherwise supposed to gauge the length of these things.  Polite, helpful, explained what he was doing, advantages and disadvantages of different toilet mechanics as well as why the liquid/chemical solutions are not particularly safe or effective. 
The one thing that I will say is that he did not have his own plastic sleeve to cover the snake when he took it out, but he did ask us for a plastic bag to avoid dripping in our apartment. 
Overall, terrific service.  He educated us and did not treat any of our questions in a condescending way.  I would definitely use Ace again; particularly this plumber.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was okay. It was the first time I have used this company. They were just fine and did what they said they were going to do. They scheduled the service fine and the toilets are working fine.

We purchased a 1907 Victorian in San Francisco and with the typical small early 1900's bed & bathrooms, we decided to fully remodel the existing bath, add an additional en suite bath and a separate half bath. We contacted five individual plumbing companies for proposals & prices, with the expected wide variety of results. Ace came in with what ended up being a right in the middle price, not the cheapest nor the most expensive, while one company didn't even bother giving us a proposal.
The project ended up taking a bit longer than we hoped, not because they were slow, mostly due to the fact that the existing plumbing was a 100+ years old. Ace ended up doing a great job on each of our new 2 1/2 baths and we couldn't be happier. The few issues that popped up, were quickly corrected and the response time was as good as could be hoped for.
I will absolutely use Ace for any of my plumbing needs going forward and I'd definitely recommend them to a friend.

He gave me a $25 discount for being an Angie's List member. He was effiecient and puctual. He was preofessional and thorough. Our water bill got up to $1200 due to slow leak from the toilet so I look forward to seeing how much it goes down after he did a repair.

I called re a clogged lateral sewer drain (from house to street).  This happens about every 6 months due to tree roots.  They scheduled me for same day, later in the afternoon.  They then called and were able to come out within the hour.  Gave me an estimate of $145 to snake drain.   Two other highly rated plumbers I called started at $220-250.00 per hour.  Sean quickly cleared the drain and also explained that the clay trap had a crack in (visible from drain).  I know i need the sewer drain replaced eventually, and probably will go with this provider for that larger job.

Great job!  Very prompt.  The repair person gave estiates for both replacement and repair costs.

The plumber ran a snake down the drain for 15 minutes.  Ran water for about 3-5 minutes to make sure the water was running freely.  As of today the water is still running freely.  Job well done.

I know I kept Ace Plumbing & Rooter's business card so they were very good. I have no grudge with them, as far as I know they did a good job. They were able to fix it for a few seconds and they charged me for half an hour instead of a full hour which was very nice. They quickly analyzed the situation and they came out pretty quickly.
