US Contracting

First they told us it would be 3 months.  The project time was always running behind.  They promised to be done by thanksgiving.  Still as of today they are still not done.  The main issue is the floor, it is not layed out correctly. There are cracks left in the floor, seams are visible.  they have tried to patch it up or repair it twice.  We just wanted a nice hardwood floor for the office.  It looks as if they ran out of material.  There are no continous planks.  lots of patches and pieces of wood are visable.  The wood has also started warping. We left for vactation in December, they said eight day would be great for getting work accomplished without any interuptions, so they could come and go as the please. When we came back and it was a disaster!! It was unacceptable, we have white carpeting and it was filty. They had mixed drywall in the house, going everywhere. They also left containers, cups everywhere.  They never took time to properly tape off any of the furniture to prevent it from getting covered with dust or grit from the work. Dust was getting on all of our furniture all over the house.  We let them use our guest bathroom.  The bathroom was filthy from their use.  When they were coming and going, they did not utilize the deadbolt to lock the door behind them after they were done working for the day.  They also did not lock the upstairs door on the balcony.  The bottom line they were messing, dirty and unprofessional.  Anytime we asked them about the mess, they protested and had an attitude.  We had crown molding, they installed, there was a vent they should have droped down to make the look flush.  They proceeded to leave an ackward gap,  we complained.  They said, "Oh we planned that"so if the inspector came.  we did not agree to this. 

I've been looking for a while for someone to come in and build a 400 SF addition. After meeting with two contractors I got off the internet, a friend referred me to U.S. Contracting. I meet with them the next day and they were off and running. They understood my budget and they gave us good ideas on how to lower the cost of the project by using different materials. I received the bid 5 days after meeting with them. I just felt comfortable with these guys and we were very happy with the work.

U.S. Contracting was very professional and they did great work. I made quite a few design changes throughout the project and they were very accommodating. I had a very nice experience working with Chris and his crew. The price seemed very fair compared to the other quotes I received and just felt more comfortable after meeting there team.  I very happy with the finished product.

US Contracting remodeled my kitchen, did a 300 SF addition so I could have an office and painted the exterior of my house.  I got a three bids from General Contractors and US Coatings was the most professional. I had budget concerns that they value engineered so I could get all the work done. They are very responsive and after a few days I was comfortable letting Chris and his guys take over. I would recommend using these guys.

The connections started when I called for the first time, I felt very welcomed with Chris his understanding & what I was looking for, He first listened to what I needed & then after I talked his ear out, he approached the demands in such a way that actually for a moment I knew I wouldn't have to shop around for another company. He came over within a days of us talking over the phone did all his measurements & came to us with a price that was in our budget. Especially with new babies on the way! The work wasn't delayed one day, He had his team working together & had the job done in a timely manner, no mess left behind, Like others I've had trouble with before in the past experience. They made what I thought would be a painful experience as pleasant as possible. The price was right and they were very responsive. They stuck to the timetable that we agreed upon and were very professional. The few times they were running late, I received a phone call letting me know. I'd think they did a great job.
