THE CLOSET WORKS & ORION WOODCRAFT

Orion/Closet Works recently installed a custom cabinet at our home, consisting of a wardrobe and a storage closet. Tom Clark (the owner) came to our house twice, at no cost, to measure and give us good ideas on design. The installers did an excellent job and it all looks great. We couldn't be more pleased. Total cost was $2000, which was more than competitive with Closet World.

Knowledgeable person came for design and estimate.  Price was competitive.   Very professional installers and the final product was exactly what we wanted,  Recommended service provider.

It went fine.  She measured it and we talked about options.  I ultimately went with another company but I think that they would have done a fine job, too.

Their designer, Kris, talked extensively to me about my needs moving from a larger house back east with basement and attic storage, and how to go about fitting things efficiently and conveniently into this one. She provided me with ideas, then working drawings, and then offered endless patience as I kept "remembering things" requiring her to make adjustments. The work provided by the Orion craftsman has literally transformed the house. Every edge, every corner, every fitting, is perfect. It makes the older cabinetry in the house, which they replaced, look like bad fitting dentures! The crew who installed the cabinetry were superb also. They were professional, hardworking, and integrated seamlessly with two other crews doing work on the house (flooring and general construction). They also cleaned up each day, and took care to let me know what I could expect next. I was so impressed with their work that I asked them to do other work in my "new" kitchen, and have asked them to construct an entertainment center and dining room cabinets.

Robin was great to work with. She listened to what I wanted and what I needed and was able to find a happy medium within my budget. There are other companies out there with the same options but Robin was confident and knows her company and product. The end result is beautiful.

Tom was fabulous!  He came to the house for the initial consultation and then came back to take final measurements.  he was nice, honest and helpful with different ideas.  he gave us a timeframe for when the work would be completed and stuck to the time estimate.  he was quick and reliable and the cabinets look as though they came with the original kitchen.  fabulous job!!!

She was very professional and prompt to all our emails and phone calls. She worked with us on a Sat morning to come up with ideas and to work within our budget. Our budget was not very small but we had done our homework as to what is reasonable. But compared to other folks that we consulted for similar work, Orion stood out for value and quality of work.
After we agreed on what type of wood and design the installation was scheduled well in advance. The workers arrived on time, did all of the uninstallation/removal of the old woodwork and even took care of the disposal of the material-They even painted and patched the wall which we had discussed as part of our contract.
They worked in our home for 2 whole days. No supervision was needed at all. Thorough job all the way. 
Would highly recommend to anyone that is looking for quality work but has a reasonable budget. We did not perform major custom work but they are probably capable of doing it if customer wants it and is willing to pay for it.

The work flow went very smoothly from design  to installation. I am very impressed with their professionalism and quality of their work. I would definitely use them again.

I was downsizing from a large home to a much smaller one with a lot less storage space. Note to self; Call Closet Works First.
I would have saved myself alot of time and false steps by realizing that i needed the Closet Organizers as soon as  got in the house.
Their designer, Robin, came out and we went room to room about what I wanted. She having lots of experience advised me on the best designs and configurations.
Closet works manufactures all their parts and piece. So about 2 weeks after Robin's visit, out came the installers. Counting all the closets, I had about 11 to do. They completed the installations, including doing touch up painting in about 1.5 days. The installers were very professional, neat and careful.
The shelves are adjustable. We did a cleaning cupboard, a linen closet, a craft/office supply closet and 3 bedroom closets of varying sizes, some were double and triple sized.
I would not be happier. The fact that I can slide the doors and see everything easily, it makes keeping organized so much easier. i don't know about you but I like being able to see if I am out of Pledge, Toothpaste or dishtowels.
Just makes being organized a breeze.  Love these things.

Kris came in and did the first measurements and I asked for a quote for if I were to do both the vanity and the linen cabinet and with just the linen cabinet.  The price was fair for the linen closet but the quality out did the price.  After paying 1/2 upfront they had the cabinet made and installed in less than two weeks.  I was very pleased with their work and their professionalism.

Tom Clark and his crew designed, built and installed bookshelves.and cabinets and a kitchen island. We are more than satisfied with the outcome and highly recommend Orion Woodcraft. Tom is very imaginative and skilled in sharing his suggestions with the customer. His costs are very fair.

The bid was too high. We did not go with them. He was friendly enough on the phone. He submitted the bid pretty quickly. He did not do any drawing, he just gave a rough kind of estimate. He gave me the bid of half of it and missed the half of it and then he gave me the rest. When asked, he get back to me pretty quickly on that.

There were no negatives about The Closet Works & Orion Woodcraft. I thought they were the best installers I've ever had.

As I said above, I did not use this company but it was a difficult decision as the final two were comparable in every way.

Good experience - encountered a couple problems, but the issues were quickly resolved.  One problem was that there was old carpet under a cabinet that had to be removed, and the old carpet would show when the new closets were put in.  However, Tim, the designer came up with an easy resolution.  The installers (Brian and Telly) were also trying to provide solutions - so I felt like everyone was working to make the problems disappear.

Overall, the process was very simple and went extremely well.  I contacted the company and was put in touch with "Caroline," the designer.  Within a couple of days, she was at my home measuring, thinking, designing, suggesting, etc.  She clearly is an experienced and professional designer with a great deal of vision.  Remarkably, she was able to translate that vision into language I could understand (no easy fete).  When I went to their office to view the final plans and make a deposit, everyone there was helpful and friendly - it seemed like a happy and healthy work environment.
Once the scheduling was coordinated the company went to work and delivered as promised.  The entire bedroom wall unit is absolutely beautiful.  The drawers slide with ease, the doors close perfectly and I couldn't be happier.  Same with the custom closets and doors.  The workmanship is truly phenomenal.  Something that's very important to me is work by the installers.  They were efficient, polite, knowledgeable and most importantly, cleaned up after the installation.  When they left,  the only remnants that remained were their beautiful additions to my home.
I will use them again and very strongly recommend them to anyone contemplating similar work.  A.L. Contreras

Mr Clark was professional, detailed, and thorough. His designs were beautiful and the installations were excellent.  Totally a professional and well-trained staff with lots of experience!

They are the most amazing company to work with. I have used them a total of three different times. The quality of work is really top notch. The Closet Works did a good job at a very competitive rate. They custom fitted all of my organizers and now I have tons of space. They did all of the work in just one day! I couldn t be happier.

Greg made several trips to our home and came up with a good design. The installation was scheduled right when we signed the contract for the work. The finished product looks very good.
