Thao Auto Repair will tackle engine work that other people won't. They actually have a re-build shop. They checked on the motor as well. They are good, they are direct, accessible and did good work. They were reasonable and timely. They had the car repaired within the time they said they would. I have had no problems dealing with them. I had absolutely no problems with quality of the work.

My Family has been going to Thao Auto for many years now. We used to be and quot;Dealerand quot; only but they have become so overpriced that we looked for alternatives. Luckily, we found Thao Auto. You may have heard their advertisements on the Radio. What they say on those advertisements is true! Lee is the most knowledgeable and honest person I have ever dwelt with. His Family has been in the business for many years and he will give you a quote over the phone that will be honored if you have described the problem correctly.
All the Certified Mechanics at Thao have been there for at least 10 yrs; many have been there much longer. Lee is very patient and friendly. It is a Family Business; the type that we all want to find. It is a place where you can trust the people that are working on your car. If you want to be treated honestly, Thao is the place.
We had a major head gasket leak with the 1994 Camry we own. It has low miles, only around 180k but it is an old car and metal parts fatigue over the years. We took it to Lee, never even considered taking it to a dealer, and he told us that the upper portion of the motor had to be taken apart. While the motor was out of the car, he discovered that the motor mounts were bad (19 yrs old), timing chain needed replacement and we decided to replace those items that could only be replaced, or easily replaced, while the motor was on the engine stand. We picked it up in about four days, if my memory serves me, and it was running so quietly that when I got in the car, I tried to start it. We have been driving the car for about two weeks now and all is well. Lee used 95% Toyota parts and he told me that he repaired it as if it was his own car. That is the way they do it at Thao Auto.
