They came out as I had asked for an estimate on termite treatment. I thought I was calling a local company but Terminix had just purchased that company. They showed up and proceeded to point out other problems and I never received a written estimate for the termite treatment. I called several times for a written estimate and still never received it. I was told that if they tent the house, if I have a safe to unlock it and keep it open. This raised red flags for me. I contacted the structural pest control board of CA to determine exactly what the state and federal laws are. The supervisor kept telling me "we are a large company, we are buying up the little guys, trust us" he kept telling me of other things that had to be done by state and federal law. The board in CA advised that I did not have to do all of the additional projects due to state and federal laws. I had a second company come out, they did not find the same issues as Terminix.

Once Terminix took over Antimite, everything went bad and they were not equipped to integrate the two companies. Absolutely poor record keeping, communication, service, etc. I am on contract still so I am stuck with them for awhile.

They are good for a while then they get new guys and they are terrible. We've had Terminex for years but then they got a new guy working and he was awful. They were Anthromite then Terminex bought them and they went to h***.  They should have a better service man. He was awful. He was dumb. He was so dumb.

They gave an extra day for that. They were awful you'd come out in the kitchen at night and they'd be hanging off everything. We did everything we could to get rid of them but it didn't work. They started off the cost at $1900 and I said No, try again. It still wasn't a wonderful price. They also have another service. Their other service is where they'll come in quarterly and come around and do your house. I signed up for it, tried to cancel it, and they wouldn't let me cancel it. They want $56.75 a month. In order to do this you have to be out of your house for 2 hours. It's very inconvenient with a dog and a cat, also for me. They will not let me cancel it. Now I don't know whether it finally went through if I screamed loud enough or they're just ignoring me again. That I do not think is professional, right, or anything else. They say that I was told in writing that I had so many days to cancel; No, I was not.

DO NOT HIRE TERMINIX OF ESCONDIDO (ORIGINALLY ANTIMITE). I PAID FOR TERMINTE ANNUAL INSPECTION AND THEY NEVER DID THE INSPECTION. THEN THEY SPRAYED FOR BUGS AND I KILLED 3 SPIDERS IN THE HOME A FEW DAYS LATER. WHEN I CANCELLED ALL SERVICES FROM THE ESCONDIDO OUTFIT WITH TERMINIX HEADQUARTERS THEY WERE VERY RUDE! TERMINIX FROM SAN DIEGO MIGHT BE ALRIGHT, BUT DON'T HIRE THE OUTFIT FROM ESCONDIDO!!!!

Terrible. Don't ever use the exclusion team - they send people that have no notes on the account and can't actually perform the work. The spray service is quite good and has nice people. Its a reasonable price.

Scheduled an inspection and requested a call ahead (to leave work). Not only did they not call ahead, they didn't show. I called the next day to follow up and thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled another inspection and was told the local manager would be contacting me concerning the no show. Again, not only did the manager not call me, the second appointment turned out to be another no show. When I called a final time to let then know, they had apparently rescheduled me and never let me know. Canceled and instead wrote this review. Fool me twice.

We ended up going with one of the contractors to paint and do some stuff. The house got certified and everything. My experience with them in terms of tenting the house and all that is pretty good. They did miss a couple of spots, not spots in terms of fumigation but things they had to repair, they're coming back to fix it so I don't really have a problem with them. It was the first time I've used them.

The initial quote process went smoothly. The work was scheduled to be done a week out. The technician who came to my home was unprofessional to the point I was uncomfortable being in my home. He left my furniture on its side in a haphazard fashion, my bed akimbo, and a piece of art had fallen off the wall--which he had to step over to leave the room--and did not say anything to me, pick it up, or anything. I found him to be sarcastic, demeaning, and condescending in how he spoke to me. The technician stated that the office would call me for a follow up inspection at two weeks. The office never called me for this follow up (they later said that the technicians should have scheduled when he was on site). I called Terminix to air my concerns as I wanted a different tech to come out, and they were responsive at that point. They said they would send someone else out, and we set a time for what was the three week mark. The technician showed up 90 minutes after the end of the window he was to arrive at. I understand that sometimes things go late, but there was no phone call to notify me. I was on my way out the door, so after talking and setting up an appointment for a few days later, he left. I received a follow up phone call confirming the new appointment. That day came, and no one showed up. Then over the course of approximately two weeks I left no less than 10 messages, attempting to get someone to deal with my concerns, perform the inspection, and talk to me about pricing. At one point when I complained that everyone's voice mail is full, an employee said "Yes, that's why we use emails" --though when I asked for a decision makers email, she said she wouldn't provide it to me. I'll leave out all the details here. Suffice to say that the lack of responsiveness and poor service continued with multiple people in the organization. At the end of it all, I made approximately 20 calls to Terminix, I did have the bedbugs successfully removed, and they gave me 25% off my service. Considering that I was moved out of my bedroom for 6 weeks during this process, had very rude behavior in my own home and had to regularly beg someone to actually respond to a voice message, I feel this is unacceptable and I will not use them in the future. I do want to state in fairness, that the bedbug removal does appear to have been successful. The second technician who came to my home was the antithesis of the first; he was thorough, professional, moved my furniture back where it belonged, spoke directly and answered my questions.

Terminix failed to get the appointment right, failed to do an inspection 2015, and I didn't catch it since it is a rental property. When they finally came out in 2016, they found termites, then said they would not treat. Terminix as a company uses a call system that does not work, you cannot speak with the manager at the local office until calling numerous times. After inspecting and then at my request a reinspection, all the problems I had just getting them to acknowledge their error the year they missed the inspection, they then stated they were not going to treat. I insisted they compare the prior report to the second inspection I requested and had to go over the local branch to get them to treat. The branch manager Jeremy admitted his error. At this point, I do not trust that they treated my property. If you value your property and your investment, you will not use this company. Their people are not trained in customer service and Terminix does not hold its employees responsible for bad service. I will be hiring another company. I wasted years trusting this company to now discover it was a waste. If you read online about Terminix, you will not trust them with your property.

It didn't. After having them come and inspect my home and determine that it needed to be fumigated I signed the contract and paid a deposit for the fumigation. To prepare for the fumigation I had to wrap all my food in bags provided by terminex. Everything had to be double bagged. I had the gas turned off in my home. Standard procedure. I rented a hotel room for two nights. And had the mail stopped for the two days I would be away while the fumigation took place. The day my home was to be tented the guy in charge of the crew, 4 total, informed me that they could not tent my home being that it had an A-Frame roof. All the preparation on my part, completed and ready to go for nothing. The house was inspected, approved, the contract signed, deposit paid, and they didn't mention anything then. I cancelled my regular service with Terminex and do not recommend them to anyone.

They're not reporting any termites. I pay them an ungodly amount of money every year to do termite inspections and then if there are termites found, they are subject to cost. They're not reporting termites. I don't know if I have termites, but they're not reporting termites. They're responsive. I don't understand what they do, so that's a big problem. I would tell a family member or a friend to consider other options.

I have had them for 14 years. They come out when they are suppose to. I am just not comfortable with one of the guys. They need to have people that do the job that are more personable. They try to be friendly but it is like creepy friendly, they are working too hard. I have recommended the company to other people.

We use to use Terminix.  We were satisfied but their prices went up and up and up.  We hired them because we had an ant infestation and they cured it and killed it and we had them for ten years and then finally we didn't see anymore ants so we terminated and said, you know, if we have a problem again we would definitely call you guys.
