Take Lessons

Take Lessons was very non-responsive in my attempts to find a piano teacher.  Once I got in their system, I was barraged by emails urging me to sign up quickly.  Each time I wrote back, explaining what I needed in a teacher (jazz piano, improv), and got no response to that, just another pushy message, asking why I hadn't signed up yet.  I thought maybe they were automated messages, but then would get a response showing someone had at least reviewed my 'file,' and saw that I hadn't signed up yet, but still not offering any info that I needed.  Then I called to speak to a live person, and was told there was no supervisor around, and that they have helped many people.  Still waiting to see if supervisor calls back.  All in all, very aggravating, and a waste of time.

I have no complaints about my instructor Alexandra Zwart from Take Lessons. She comes to my house to instruct me. It is nice to have somebody willing to come to your home and give the piano instructions rather than me going out there. She is thorough and patient. I am really happy with the piano lessons that I am getting. I would continue using her.

They are very, very helpful and good in terms of setting up lessons. They have wonderful customer service. They don't put you under any obligation.

They are very honest and they interview their teachers before they let people know about them so I felt comfortable going with this one person and he turned out to be great. They checked the background of teachers. My teacher is excellent so they do their homework in finding good teachers. Their prices are good. They were comparable to another teacher that I had used. They are excellent in everything. I can call the 1-800 number and they respond quickly and I can change the date if I need to.

We found an excellent piano teacher with them. He is absolutely fabulous. When you do the first piano lesson and if you don't like it, they will give you a refund. If you cancel an appointment within 24 hours, you can reschedule to any other time in the month. You get feedback from your piano teacher in the website. You get all the information you want about the lesson. The other teacher is also awesome. He is a nice guy and pays full attention to my son. The piano teacher is very busy and he works seven days a week. When he could not accommodate us earlier, he started working late by an hour to accommodate us. They are pretty reasonable.
