I could not have been happier. Kirk really knows his business, and considering the amount of film I brought in, the price was fair. I've already researched the cost of trying to convert it at home, buying the ( home user level film conversion ) equipment, how long it would take to do it on your own, etc. No wonder I've put this off for years. Even if I did it that way, it wouldn't compare the higher quality equipment Kirk uses, nor would I have his lifetime of knowledge in the field, color-correction, etc. If anyone's on the fence about getting your old film converted, just bring it here. You're never going to get around to it, and it takes an expert to fix the little issues that come up along the way. I'm watching some of the video now as I write this and I'm super impressed. All of this could have been lost if I did it myself or sent it to some mail-order place in another state, etc. I'm not going to invade my mother's privacy by posting a pic of the look on her face here, but you should see it. What a testimonial. Footage she hasn't seen since the 1950's. Unreal.

Took in 12 16mm films my grandfather shot in the 1940’s to be converted to DVD. The quality of the DVD’s were excellent and they were done in a very timely manner.

I absolutely love Sunray Video Productions! We found old family films from the 1950's that we thought were lost forever. I found Kirk/Sunray and he examined the films, some of which appeared to have gone bad, however, he was able to transfer the films to DVDs, add music to the movies, and put them together in chronological order! Our family has enjoyed the over four hours of films, which have also been sent to family members who are out of state and who were thrilled to see these "time capsules" on film. Kirk is amazing and I would only trust him to do this restoration work! The cost was more than reasonable, and the outcome was invaluable to me and our family!

Kirk was able to convert dozens of my old film to a flash drive. I was asking for a quick turnaround and he was able to get it done for me. I then found more film and had him do a second job. I would recommend Sunray Video.

I recently took a slew of old 8 mm and super 8 mm family films to Sunray Video to have them digitized. Kirk explained my options in a clear and concise manner which helped me make the right choice in format and media. Since many of these old home movies were from a time before I was born, I was able to see my family as I never had before! Kirk was able to scan in some very old 8mm movies from the 40s and 50s. Some of the film was already ruined, but he was still able to get us some precious memories back,.

Good reproductions and very reasonable.

It went very well. The turn around time was amazingly fast, even with shipping from Michigan to Southern California. When completed, I received my originals back in great shape and the DVD was just as good. It is an adjustment from an audio world to the silence of the old movie genre though. But I am confident and satisfied that I have preserved our family movies. I wish I had done it earlier as there was some storage damage, but Sunray was able to transfer the raw footage anyway. .
