Sullivan Moving and Storage

Unbelievable wonderful. Everyone showed up on time. All the prices quoted were what was charged (no unexpected charges before the housegoods were unload).

Setting up the quote was very simple and they were very prompt and helpful. They were very quick to respond to email and helped answer all of our questions about the move.
The move itself went very well. They told us to expect the driver between 8 and 10 in the morning on Saturday. He showed up at 9 with his help. They stuck little numbered stickers on all of our boxes and furniture and wrote down on a sheet a detailed list of everything we were moving. They wrapped the furniture in blankets and moved every thing out onto their truck. They had everything out of our apartment and outside either in the truck or on its way into the truck by noon. They gave us a copy of the list of everything we were shipping.
The driver told us he was making a stop in Seattle not far from us on the following Friday and that we could expect him between 11 and 1 that day. He showed up a bit late (due to rain delaying the other drop - that was no fault of his) with help to move everything upstairs. He gave us a list of all the items we moved and as they brought in the boxes they called off the numbers and we crossed them off. A few of the boxes were wet from the rain so they told us to write that down on the sheet. But nothing was damaged and everything made it.
I was very impressed with them because we had two dressers that were extremely heavy. The driver and his helper carried both dressers up three flights of stairs and put them in place.  I would definitely work with them again if I need to move in the future.

They came and gave us a great estimate that was well within our budget. When they came to do the service, they even came in under budget! The three men had a great working relationship and helped make the move go smoothly. Nothing went amiss, and the move went wonderfully.

THE PACKERS DID A GOOD JOB. THE TRUCK DRIVER AND HIS HELPERS DID AN OUTSTANDING  JOB. EVERYTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED ON TIME.

Harley, Glen, and Chico were the movers who came to our house in Oceanside. They arrived before the scheduled time, which provided more loading time.  We had already packed and placed many of our smaller items in small and medium boxes, but there were beds, a china hutch, bookcases, dining room table and chairs, TVs, dressers, etc. that were too heavy and awkward for us to move by ourselves.  We all had a good time working together and the loading process went very quickly. The drive to Escondido, CA was uneventful, except the van's GPS and the route I thought we would take were different, but Hey! I got to see another area of our new home.  Everyone from Rich, who provided us an estimate, and the staff in the office were all great!!  If we ever move again, Sullivan Moving and Storage will be the first ones called!

The entire process went very smoothly. Arranging the pick up was easy and the coordinator was easy to reach when I had questions. Two men came to my home and carefully wrapped all pieces being moved. They were friendly and did a good job of wrapping the pieces. They were on time with the pick up and delivered all furniture within the agreed upon time frame.

My first interaction with Sullivan was with Chris Lind, the area manager, who did the estimating for my move. Chris was a great guy! Very professional and honest about what I needed and didn't need. He did a through assessment of my belongings and came up with a great price that was lower than I'd expected.  
The positive experience continued with my move coordinator, Connie Gardner. She was on top of everything and continually followed up to make sure I was happy and well informed.  
On move day the crew they sent out was nothing short of fantastic.  The three man crew emptied my apartment in just about an hour, taking lots of care both with my belongings and the building as well. They were fast, friendly, and professional making it a very pleasant experience.  
Overall it was a positive move experience and it wouldn't have been so pleasant without the team at Sullivan staying on top of things, keeping me informed, and making sure I was happy.

It went very well. They were courteous people everything was done quickly and it was an overall great job.

The moving Team on both ends of the move were great and a pleasure to work with, especially the driver that moved my stuff across the country, Jerry.

Very professional from the get go.  Estimator came to the house and we walked through talking about the different components of moving to storage and interstate.  Communication with the office was excellent throughout the whole process. Today they are here packing what I want to send to storage, tomorrow they come to move everything they packed to storage.  Thursday, they will come to pack for Colorado and Friday, they load the truck.  So far I have been very happy with the whole process.  We will see once I get to Colorado how the process ends.

We were moving to another state and hired them to transport our belongings and they did a very good job.  They were careful with our items and were pleased with their service.

All in all, it was an uneven performance.  The estimator did a thorough job and was great to work with.  However, I never received a call informing me of when the movers would show up.  So I was caught by surprise at 8 AM the morning of the move.  Furthermore, they argued with me that I needed to take the TV off the wall after I was specifically and explicity told that they would take care of it.  Thankfully the movers agreed to do so.  The movers also gave me grief regarding the transporting of the mattress, but after much discussion, thankfully were willing to help me out.
On the delivery side, the movers insisted on charging me a substantial additional charge for a "shuttle" since their truck was too big for the street.  It was a normal size street with plenty of width, but they have a massively large truck.  I can't imagine a situation where a shuttle wouldn't be required.  However, this was not communicated to me at the time of the estimate.  I would almost consider this a scam.  Once they have all of the leverage, they keep on charging you more money.
However, besides that, the movers were fast, efficient and courteous.  My stuff arrived in pretty good condition, with only a very minor defect in the couch.

They were really good. They are helpful, are on time, and did exactly what they said they would do.

Troy Becker which is their contact in San Diego is very thorough and very responsive, anytime I had a question he got right back to me. They were not the cheapest of the three bids that I got but they came very close. They were very punctual with their dates. The moving crew that packed me up in San Diego were very professional and treated my belongings as if they were their own. They carefully wrapped each piece of wood furniture as well as mattresses. The driver gave me his cell phone and I talked to him while he was in route. Delivered right on time. I had questions after the move and although our business was done, Troy was very responsive as well. I would definitely use them again and ask for Troy.

They are the best I've ever used. They were punctual, very careful with valuable furniture and piano, very friendly and professional.

They were great. I would highly recommend them. They are very courteous and hard-working, I would use them again in a heartbeat. The price was a little lower than other estimates I received and they moved a 2400 square foot house. They followed up and arrived on time. They were flexible with the delivery.

We were very happy with their service. As so often happens, the people that do the work are great, but the managers and office people aren't. That was the case with Sullivan as the office person responsible for scheduling the move failed to do so and started a very problematic situation for all the families involved. Thankfully, the hard working worker bee movers saved the day. The incompetent woman who made the mistake should be fired, but the movers informed us that she's a "looker" and has job security.

THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. THEY WERE FAST AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY WRAPPED BLANKETS AROUND EVERY PIECE OF FURNITURE SO NOTHING GOT CHIPPED. I WAS SO HAPPY. THEY CAME AT 8 AM AND WE FINISHED AT 12 PM. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY.
