Stoneside Blinds & Shades-San Diego

Kathy from Stoneside helped us choose the attractive blinds for doors and windows. She made a second visit with our daughter to confirm the choice. Rusty the installer was superb and the result was excellent. We are very pleased.

I love my new solar shades! They certainly helped while we had warm weather in November and they look incredible! I can't wait to see how they do in the hot summer months. Kathy Mays was amazing and helped us pick out the perfect fit for our home. I can't recommend her and Stoneside enough! I also recommend choosing the motorized shades. They are well worth the extra expense, the remote is easy to use and our guests are always very impressed!!

I can not say enough good things about Stoneside, namely Kathy Mays (Designer) and Rusty (installer).

Kathy initially came out after I had other bids from some of their competition.  I was in sticker shock mode...  Kathy came out, measured everything, went over color selection, etc etc etc and even helped me select colors for the rooms the blinds would go in to ensure I was happy with the appearance of everything.  We went over energy efficiency and my "purpose" for the blinds, ie privacy, sun exposure, etc.

When all was said and done, she gave me a bid around 30% less than the competition.  It was still relatively pricy and I was kind of going back and forth on the purchase..... 

I ended up going with them due to a few reasons..  1) they had great reviews, 2) I was extremely comfortable with Kathy and she wasn't a typical "pushy saleswoman" and 3) I needed something to help with the brutal summer heat.....

I ended up paying for seven window coverings first.  Two solar shades and five honeycomb type coverings.  I must say, I am extremely pleased with the appearance and MOST importantly, the absolute cooling down of my house. 

A few weeks ago, on a very hot weekend, I was so impressed by the reduction of heat in my house I decided to get additional coverings for the remaining two windows facing the afternoon sun.  It is kind of costly but I must say absolutely worth it when you consider energy savings, COMFORT and competitor pricing.....

The last few days when the temps were upwards of 112 degrees in El Cajon, my house (no AC) remained at around 80 degrees.  In the past, without these window coverings, my house was only about 10 degrees cooler than the outside temp.  These blinds REALLY do reflect heat and keep the place cool.

Absolutely outstanding service and professionalism.  Kathy's recommendation for the shade in my new bathroom is the perfect compliment to the design.  She is delightful to work with.  Rusty did the installation and first came by to measure and then to install.  The whole process was reasonably priced and seamless.  All appointments were on time and efficient.  They are THE BEST!!

Kathy came to talk about our needs and suggested a few blinds depending on our needs (price, style etc..). Installation went so well too. Professional installation is definitely better.   I was also happy that I asked them to take down old blinds. Taking down was not easy since ours was so long and heavy.

Kathy Mays was great!  She went over all of my options and listened to what we wanted and she gave us a good price!  Rusty did an excellent job on the installation!  He ran into a problem with the company not packing the brackets in the box, so he made an hour long trip south of here to go get some brackets and then came back north (another hour) to install all of the shades the same day!  We couldn't have been happier!  I would recommend Stoneside to anyone!

We consulted Kathy Mays at Stoneside for blinds to cover two adjacent and perpendicular sliding glass doors in the corner of our unit. Kathy helped us select the blinds (material, style, and color) that would be best for our needs. Rusty came out and measured the glass doors for the custom blinds. When the blinds were ready, Rusty came out and installed the blinds. The blinds fit perfectly. The color match to our walls and carpet was better than I had envisioned. Overall the experience was one that exceeded my expectations.

Kathy was prompt, responsive and expertly guided us through the process. Rusty, the installer, called when he received the shades and installed them the same day. I can't imagine better service!

Excellent. I loved that Kathy is an interior designer and really had sense of my style. I was originally going to choose another provider, but Kathy really changed my mind ( she did not know I had another vendor previously at my house) . It was her ability to look at the other elements in my home and direct me to the best choices. I LOVE My blinds!

We recently revamped our pool area with big boulders, rocks, succulents and a waterfall cascading down the hillside into our pool.
We wanted to block the glare from the sun, but did not want to block the view.  Stoneside Blinds & Shades immediately understood what we were trying to accomplish and provided us with solar blinds that completely cut  out the glare, reduced the heat from the sun and  still let us enjoy our beautiful view.  Kathy helped us pick out the perfect blinds and Rusty gave us a professional installation. The experience was satisfying and the price was reasonable.  I would recommend  them to anyone.
