ST MARK'S NURSERY SCHOOL

This is an exceptional school which has been a part of the South Clairemont community for 40 years. They have an exceptional staff: Top-notch, educated, passionate, loving - everything you'd ever want your child's nursery school team to be. The program is engaging, thoughtful, challenging, tailored to each child and truly inspiring. I can not tell you how wonderful our experience has been here. The director and teachers are true child advocates, and they create their program for the realities of modern parenting, providing pre- and after-care as needed for full-time working parents or part-time working parents, or working stay-home-parents who need to be able to get things done. The social aspect of the school has been an excellent side benefit, with an active parenting group and events. Parents are welcome on campus and encouraged to visit the classroom at any time, which is a comfort. There are stimulating after-class activities for the children such as dance, Spanish, tumbling - all offered for a reasonable additional fee. There are regular special events - from storytelling, to a carnival, to Native American dancers. As an additional FYI, this school is part of the St. Mark's Methodist Church, but is in no way a religious program . We have had absolutely zero issues with disrespect for our beliefs (or lack thereof). And of huge import? The tuition is incredibly reasonable - nearly half the amount for twice the program offered at other schools. The school is providing our daughter with incredible social, educational, personal skills. St. Mark's Nursery School is all that we were hoping for and more. She loves attending St. Mark's, and we have made many friends here.
