Sheen has done work for us in the past so when we had a flood in the house and needed a complete remodel we did not hesitate to contact Sheen again. Sheen and his crew, especially Francisco, did an outstanding job with this project. Once we finally received funds from insurance the work was completed very quickly. Thanks, Sheen and crew!

Great! On schedule and on budget. I'm very impressed with Sheen's start time once we determined the final scope of work, and how he was able to stay on schedule. Everyone is very nice and leaves the house in good shape. We are very happy and recommend him to our family and friends. We also get a lot of compliments on the work as well. We will definitely use Sheen for our next project.

Overall we're very happy with the new bathroom. Specialty did very good work and is great at communicating when changes or problems come up. We had some difficulty because I selected a lot of glass subway tile for the walls, and that took longer and cost a few hundred dollars more in labor.

It went great! Sheen was experienced, professional and confident about the job when we did the initial bid solicitation meeting. He was very quick to turn around his estimate/bid to us. He has a system that he uses to facilitate communications, messages, pictures, contract documents, invoices, etc. He had a crew that began the job when they promised. The on-site crew led by Juve was really excellent. They were punctual and consistently showed up every day during the period of heavy construction. We had alot of tile work done (floor to ceiling on all walls). Juan was the primary tile master and he is very skilled and did an excellent job. These two guys and the rest of the crew, really cared about the work they were doing. They communicated with me each morning before I left for work allowing time to discuss details so that they were able to incorporate my wishes into their days work. They cleaned up each day and kept dirt and dust contained the best they could. We will definitely use Specialty Home Improvement in the future when we have other home improvement projects. We highly recommend them.

It went great. Sheen Fischer was very helpful in advising us on planning the project. Workers arrived on time every day and it moved along as quickly as we could have hoped. The quality of the work was excellent and any problems we ran into were addressed promptly. Everyone was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. We are already arranging to have some other bathrooms remodeled by the same company.

Except for three glitches, two of which involved subcontractors (granite fabricator and shower glass) and not SHI's employees, everything went fairly well. However, due to the subcontractors the project ran longer than originally estimated. SHI's employees were very accommodating and courteous. They removed all trash at the end of each day and left the site broom swept. They did an excellent job in protecting the adjacent areas of the house. SHI also coordinated the delivery of all materials to the site and put us in touch with an excellent cabinet sales person who met all our needs perfectly.

Sheen and his team were great! From the very start they were great about communication, took the time to answer our questions and were very patient with us. We felt comfortable with everyone that came into our house to do the work and all the work was done to high standards. We are so happy with the Master bath we are asking for a bid to do another bath in our house. This truly is a professional company!

Sheen and his team are wonderful to work with. From his help and advice during the planning phases all the way through to the finish work, I knew I was in professional hands. Our project manager, Al, was great with solving problems, answering questions, and keeping me updated on progress. I was particularly thrilled with Juve, who was the site/team manager. He kept me abreast of what was happening every step of the way, and went above and beyond to make sure I loved everything. Sheen himself stayed in constant communication as well. He uses a website/project management software system so that every step of the project is carefully documented and you are constantly aware of every detail. I've seen other comments mentioning his prices. I did receive lower bids from other contractors, but I've been through construction in the past and lower bids do NOT mean a lower cost in the end. From other reviews I read and from my initial meetings with Sheen, I knew this was the team I could trust with my home. With Specialty Home Improvement there were never any surprises. I DID go above budget, but it was purely because I added more projects and purchased more expensive materials. Each time I did that, Sheen was quick to talk to me to make sure knew exactly what the financial impact would be. Also, and this is important, his team showed up every single day, even on Saturdays (after checking with me first). They worked through until the project was finished. And the quality of the work was top-notch. Just beautiful. Every detail was attended to. There were no scheduling problems, and I never had the crew disappearing to handle another client (I've had that happen FAR too often in the past with other companies). There were no surprises or creeping costs. The reliability, quality, and communication are worth their weight in gold. I can't stress this enough: lower bids do not always equal lower costs. With Specialty Home Improvement, you know exactly what you will be paying right up front. This is the dream team of quality construction. You get what you pay for (and in my experience, just that little bit more).

They started when they said, nice and early in the morning too. they worked the whole day and even took care of the new carpet the was installed a week prior. They worked very efficient and smart. Work got done very fast and correct. Even on some things they asked if that was they way we wanted it done, they just asked to make sure that way it was done correct without redoing it a second time. All the work turned out GREAT, awesome job.

Sheen's company is extremely professional in all aspects. His staff were friendly and highly competent technicians. The remodel
cost $7500 and enlargement of previous deadspace was $2500. The fixtures, tile and glass we chose were $6500. A first rate operation.

Great experience. -Excellent final product: very pleased with the outcome -Very clear invoicing: everything is itemized and whenever there is a change order it was added to the invoice and signed by all parties so there were no surprises. -Clean and respectful crew. The crew was great and cleaned up as much as they could every night so I was still able to relax in the llving room throughout the process. -Worked with my schedule. I travel a lot for work so they were able to be flexible when I needed to hold off on certain parts of the project. -Customer service: there was a bit of a miscommunication on one part of the project which would require extra labor to complete the way I envisioned. Since I was quoted a lower cost, they honored that commitment even after the actual labor costs went up.

Our bathroom remodel started with review of Angie's list and visits to a number of contractor's websites. 
This turned up Specialty Home Improvement's website and the offer of Sheen Fischer's "Free Remodel Planning Guide".  This is a truly awesome guide which is 68 pages in length. This Guide should be reviewed in detail before getting
proposals.  The Houzz website provides literally thousands of pictures of remodels from which ideas can be extracted.
Specialty Home Improvement's (SHI's) Angie's List reviews were the best of any contractor reviewed. Others were excellent but SHI was a notch above.  We expected that SHI's work would be excellent at a price well above other contractor's price.  This turned out not to be the case.   Sheen's proposal was complete and readily adjusted for questions and comments.  The price was below that of other proposals so we chose SHI.
Sheen's email and phone number were provided at the outset of the project.  He responded quickly to
questions, concerns and comments and stops by to monitor status several times per week. 
 With any bathroom remodel, the customer must be involved in selection of tiles, fixtures, cabinets, shower doors, mirrors, paint
manufacturer and color and more. We had viewed tile and fixture stores for months before seeking the remodel proposals. 
Still the proposal process revealed there would be much involvement throughout the project.  This is where
the SHI staff comes in.  First Huve arrives with his smile and explains what is going to happen.  He is the key onsite coordinator throughout the project.  The floor and furniture of the adjacent room are thoroughly covered for the bathroom demolition and
construction.  The demolition takes a couple of days.   A problem was revealed behind one wall which was taken care with a minor contract addition.  The subwalls were rebuilt.
Now the tile work.  Louise begins the meticulous installation of the tile.  Shower walls diamond pattern.  Tub borders vertical pattern.  Entire floor diamond pattern. Tile around all baseboards. Rectified tiles on two counter tops.   Frequent use of deco tiles on shower walls,  around tub and in backsplash around counter tops.  This took on the order of two weeks and resulted on a magnificent tile arrangement. Louise did an awesome job.
 Meanwhile Huve is leading others in various tasks.  The biggest was installation of the Mansfield whirlpool tub which we had selected and ordered ourselves from Texas.  It had unique features that only a few tubs have.  Some questions about pump and
heater wiring were resolved with a visit and explanation by Sheen.  Sheen moved the required GFCI's to the main electrical panel which provided ready access if a reset is needed. There were no GFCI resets needed during initial tub operation.  Other tasks included new fixture installation, new light installation and new mirror installation.  Huve is thorough about seeking customer
inputs on various tasks. For example: locations of shower, tub, sink and light fixtures. 
 The entire project was over the original three week schedule by several days.  This was great as we
had been cautioned by other people that remodels generally go well beyond original schedules. 
Overall we are very satisfied with the Specialty Home Improvement remodel.  

This was a relatively small job, but I felt like I had their full attention even though I knew they had other projects going in our neighborhood. All went smoothly. They moved a wall, creating space for a shower, extended water and drain lines, framed and tiled the shower.  Once they started, they were on-site every weekday until the project was finished. I am very happy with the result.

This master bathroom renovation was our first big house project where we needed to hire general contractors to do the work, so we were a little weary going on.  We've heard so many horror stories about unreliable contractors that we just assumed that was the norm.  That is definitely not the case with Sheen and his crew.  Even starting with the initial contact when I filled out a form on their website, Sheen was extremely responsive, showed up to our consult appointment on time, and provided a very thorough quote when promised. That was a very good indicator of how his company works - very reliable and top of things.  The crew always showed up on time, worked hard, and cleaned up before leaving each day. Juve, Al, and all the other guys were great to work - I can't say enough good things about them.  The quality of the work was impressive, and they even finished the job a week earlier than scheduled (when does that ever happen?!). We were so happy with our experience with them with this remodel that we had them come back a few months later to rebuild our BBQ island in the backyard, which was also a great experience.  I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone (and have), and will definitely come back to them for additional projects in the future.

We love our new bathroom. Everyone involved in the project were professional, organized, knowledgeable and arrived on time. They checked with us throughout to determine exactly how we wanted things done.  The owner was particularly helpful. He was available to us whenever we had a question and responded quickly.
