Jose and company were very knowledgable and accommodating. The work is outstanding and done with little mess or interruption to the owner. I feel very lucky that I found them. I kept adding little things here and there and never a problem. I only got a quote from them as I was impressed and I did not think the price was out of line. I have no regrets. I would hire them in a heartbeat.

Jose and his crew were the most professional and talented craftsmen we've ever met. They are truly a specialty custom painting and fine finishing company. We never had to deal with heavy sales pitches or pushiness. They were completely reliable and timely, always showing when they said they would and committed to working as long as it took to get the job done. Our 25 year old solid ash wood cabinets were water damaged, looking bad and completely dated looking. They are completely beautiful now. Jose and his crew are true professionals. They respect the job as well as all onsite requirements. Jose met all stated job goals and communicated with us to make sure he was meeting our expectation and needs. It started with a phone call. Jose came to our house, took a cabinet door and a sample of our new flooring. Then he made up a custom color, matching our floor. When he finished the job he gave us the leftover stain. He replace all of our door hinges. When he had aligning issues with the new hinges he picked, he got others so the doors were perfect. No excuses, just quality work. Finally, after a week or so after the job and full payment had been made, my wife noticed a couple of minor imperfections. She called Jose about them. He promptly made an appointment to come back to our home and addressed the issues without ANY questions or hesitation. He really does want the customer to be completely satisfied.

Jose Alberto, owner and specialty custom painter and re-finisher, did an absolutely outstanding job matching the tinted lacquer (honey maple) for our selected cabinets (a number that had water stains) and refinishing them to like-new condition. He provides tremendous value in that his price is very affordable, yet the work is of the highest quality. And, Jose is a very nice person. He's extremely reliable, returns calls, follows through on his commitments, and is highly capable and organized. I would definitely recommend him above others we sought bids from. Also, his work was so impressive, that my neighbor hired him to paint some new barn doors he installed in his house. Clearly, San Diego Painting and Refinishing has earned a rating of 5 stars! I wouldn't even consider any other contractor/specialist for cabinet painting and refinishing other than SD P&R - Jose Alberto.
