They never finished the floor completely, but I was sick of having them in my house and told them to leave anyway.

They did not get a permit for the bathroom remodel work...which was supposed to be completed in two to three weeks.  After three months of people not showing up on time if at all, they were fired.     There was never a design plan.  We had a waterfall in the wall at one point due to a cap popping off.  We were told this is common and not to worry about it.   They sent three sets of their plumbers(their third plumber, they told us, was a "professional"  ) to figure out certain problems we were having due to the new bathroom plumbing..   Furthermore, they put deep scratches and broke our brand new corner whirlpool tub that they were supposed to frame and install.  They did frame the tub..three times..incorrectly.  We even paid for expedited shipping for items when they made it seem like we were slowing down the process...which was a waste of money.  We have had three inspections all of which pointed out flaws in plumbing, electrical, framing...everything...sewage pipes were even exposed... and there were live wires.   To get to all of the incorrect piping and to get everything up to code, the walls were torn out as well as the floor. . .  We have paid them $8430...we ended up with a shell of a room with no shower, an incorrectly framed broken tub, no toilet, no vanity...and nonsensical plumbing, no lights, incorrect electrical and ventilation that was not up to code...furthermore, we have to buy a new tub and have had to pay for an inspector.  Jay, the supervisor,  was rude to us on many occasions and was very unprofessional.  Our project manager William has been fired we were told.  We have been patient for many months, and now simply want a full refund which Jay said he will not give.  Also, we should be reimbursed for the tub that they broke and scratched.  No sense of honor or workmanship from this company.  Do let this company anywhere near your house, please.

A worker came and gave us an estimate and we signed the contract. We told them we wanted the individual that came out to give the estimate to be the one to do the work and not subcontractors.  We were informed that they guy who we signed the contract with ran off to Mexico. We told them they still needed to honor the contract. They sent out workers who put the wrong tile in and then agreed to perform some work for free as a result. They didn’t fix anything properly, the cabinets, sliding door. They tried to use Elmer’s Glue on the cabinets. They also installed a 2002 garbage disposal that was extremely rusted and it broke on us. The head guy was supposed to come out to fix some other work but he never did and kept making excuses. They drug out the process so long that we were unable to dispute the charges with our credit card company. The head worker, Jay, will not give me the names of the subcontractors they used. They never finished the work and never gave a walk through. One of the workers brought his daughter to the work site and asked me to watch her, which is illegal. I was also, at one point, accused of offering cocaine to one of the workers but they finally back off of this accusation.

We spoke to several companies about the job.  I was impressed with the windows.  I thought they had the best windows of anybody we spoke to.  They weren't the cheapest, but I don't go with the cheapest or most expensive option.  I am making a final decision on who to hire for the job.  The quote was professionally done.  I had no issues with the quote.  All of the companies were aggressive about wanting my business.  I didn't have to worry about calling them and not getting a phone call back.  Their responsiveness was great.  They will probably be at the top of the list.

I had mixed emotions because it depended on which crew they sent out which I found out later. They weren't cheap but the guys they sent out worked hard and worked long. They were meticulous and they even did a little extra than they were supposed to. We got along fine and I loved their work. I thought they were really great so I recommended them to a neighbor who had a terrible time but she also had a different crew. She finally got a refund because they messed it up. I was supposed to get a $500 finder's fee for referring them, which 3 months went by and I finally had to call them but I did get it. They were really great for my experience. I thought their price was average. I didn't get a lot of estimates but I kind of knew what it would cost. I might use them again but I will be real careful to make sure I get a good crew.

I like San Diego Home Improvements in terms of professionalism and coming down to do a quote. The person who came listened to me and he did not try to talk me into doing additional projects. He understood about what I was talking. He is yet to give me an estimate as he came just yesterday. He was pretty good. He was prompt and professional. The person who called me to setup the appointment was not that good.

They gave me a good deal. The person whom I spoke to was very good and the one who worked was great.
