"The member signed a contract with San Diego Rebath on 8/8/2006 to change her bathtub into a shower stall. The items were ordered on 8/9/2006 except for the shower doors which are not ordered until the shower is installed so we can get exact measurements. Her bathroom was torn out on 8/29/06 and we ordered the doors the same day. The shower was installed 8/30/06. (of course going from a tub to a shower plumbing is needed, we do not do plumbing as stated in the contract, and recommended a plumber to her if she did not know of one). Her shower door arrived per her contract 1/4" reeded glass with gold trim. On (according to her notes) she called 9/5/06 she was having a difficult time trying to find gold fixtures and wanted to change the trim of the shower doors to brush nickel. Brush nickel is more expensive than gold and we already had the shower door. We contacted the manufacturer of the shower door and they were willing to change the trim and told the member the cost would be $200.00. We changed the trim of the shower door and scheduled to install on 9/18/06. According to her records we were scheduled to install between 8-9am, which is not our normal time of arrival, she was scheduled between 9:30-10:30am and by 10am her son called using very explicit language and said he could get the shower doors cheaper and hung up on us. We tried to call back to resolve this solution in one of 3 ways. Option 1-we install the shower door and collect for the job we did. Option 2-we have the manufacterer install the shower door and then collect for the job we did. Option 3-we remove the cost of the shower door and she just pays us for what we installed. We were told by her that we were harassing her and at that time we resorted in certified letters. The first had been claimed to which the homeowner responded with an additional written correspondence to our corporate office imploring them to resolve the issue. We submitted two additional written correspondences through certified mail, which were never picked up by the homeowner, and again offered her two solutions which would allow her full discretion of completion. The homeowner stated that we were not a licensed company but we had been licensed to maintain compliance with our parent company and the Contractor's State License Board recorded a complaint from the homeowner based on our license number. As of December 2006 the shower door was installed and the total final balance had been collected."
