We just moved into a house so we had to get a bunch of electrical taken care of.   The service they provided was professional, reliable, dependable, and trustworthy.

Mr. Hollis solved a complex problem in a workmanlike, intelligent way. Despite some incorrect information offered to us by the vent-hood manufacturer about the source of the malfunction, Mr. Hollis thought outside the box and determined where the problem actually was and then fixed it properly. He was super careful with our tile, stainless steel vent-hood and stovetop. He demonstrated knowledge of and experience with construction principles in removing and replacing the hood. The original contractor had installed the hood before installing the tile backsplash surrounding it, so the removal of the hood required painstaking and careful work. We were very impressed with Mr. Hollis's patience and skill, and very appreciative of the care he took not to create holes in the wall or the tile. The hood is now back in place and all parts work perfectly. This job involved 2 separate trips to our house, because Mr. Hollis needed to phone the manufacturer and order additional parts before he could finish the work. We appreciated Mr. Hollis's interface with the manufacturer and his prompt return to finish the job once the parts were here. We would most certainly hire Mr. Hollis again, and we recommend him enthusiastically to others.

We could not have been happier with Mr. Hollis's response, troubleshooting and repair of the problem. He answered our phone call immediately, offered a suggestion for trying to turn on the circuit breaker (to be sure we had operated it correctly), then, when it appeared that we did have an electric problem, he made an appointment with us the same morning to come out and fix the problem. He arrived exactly on time. We thought we had a faulty circuit breaker, the one that governed our refrigerator plug, when the breaker refused to return to "on" after we unplugged the refrigerator. Mr. Hollis checked the breaker, which was fine. He then did a thorough inspection of all outlets on that same breaker and found that about 3 outlets were not working. These were both inside the house and outside, on the house wall. One of the inside outlets contained an exposed wire that had apparently been nicked by another electrician who had, in the past, installed an outside light fixture for us. Reasoning that the exposed wire could have caused arcing to the outside outlet, Mr. Hollis found a burnt wire associated with the outside outlet. He fixed all the problems quickly and efficiently. We have asked him to come back next week to fix another issue--the replacement of a circuit board in our kitchen vent hood fan light. We found Mr. Hollis to be extremely knowledgable, with excellent skill in troubleshooting our issues quickly and efficiently. His response time was outstanding, and his price was very fair. Besides this, he was very pleasant.

The work just performed by Ralph was not my first experience with him. In the past we needed him for routine repair of various electrical items. His quality work and reasonable charges made it easy to turn to him for a bigger project.

This time, the significant part of the work was the installation of underccabinet lighting and reworking hall lighting (small parts of the job included exterior outlets for holiday lighting, fountain power, etc.). In our prior consultation, I had asked for advice on improving the lighting in the kitchen, thinking I needed to sacrifice cabinets over the sink counter in order to get light from the breakfast room. Ralph suggested the under-cabinet LED lighting solution so that I could maintain my much-needed cabinet space. The results are amazing! The light is beautiful. Not only does it brilliantly illuminate the work space on the counters, it shows off the beauty of the granite counter tops (which were previously unseen due to the relative dark). The kitchen is transformed into a wonderful work space. I honestly feel like it is a new kitchen.

Ralph also performed and quot;magicand quot; in the dark central hall through a removal of a 40-year-old light fixture set into the attic access panel which was replaced by a recessed fixture. The transformation was impressive. Ralph even provided, through a subcontractor, on the spot, a beautiful replacement of the attic hatch, an expert example of carpentry and finish work.

In addition to the above, Ralph discovered a flat tire on my car as he passed through the garage and offered to change it, something I could not do as an and quot;old ladyand quot; with arthritis.

What kindness and thoughtfulness! Ralph is a professional in every sense of the word, and a gentleman too. Look no further for an electrician!
