Avoid Pre-Fab Granite Depot – Unethical and Unprofessional I regret hiring Pre-Fab Granite Depot for my countertop installation and feel compelled to share my experience to warn others. I purchased pre-fabricated Taj Mahal countertops, and one of my primary requirements was to approve a template of the stone before fabrication to ensure proper cuts and pattern alignment. This was confirmed multiple times with their sales rep, Martha, and their warehouse staff. Despite these assurances, they ignored this agreement and cut the stone without ever providing me with the promised template. The result was exactly what I was trying to avoid—my island piece did not match the other countertops. It either came from a completely different slab or was cut incorrectly, despite my clear instructions. To make matters worse, their installer was unprepared during the measurement process, showing up without basic tools like a tape measure or notebook, which was extremely concerning. When I brought these issues up, Martha shifted blame, citing vague "industry standards" and dismissing the agreement we had. Even though I provided clear evidence, including photos and recorded conversations of our templating discussion, they refused to fix their mistakes. At one point, they offered a discount as a gesture, but it was never applied. Instead, they’re demanding full payment and have gone as far as to threaten placing a lien on my property. This company operates unethically, fails to honor agreements, and refuses to take accountability for their mistakes. I cannot recommend Pre-Fab Granite Depot to anyone. Save yourself the frustration and find a more professional and reputable company.

Countertops were great but the cabinetry was "third time's the charm." The cabinet installer arrived late by my watch, but supposedly seven minutes before he would be late by theirs. The initial install looked great but ignored the approved plans completely. After getting them back to change the cabinets to match the approved plans, the install wasn't as good, with more visible jagged seams and bowed out trim. After making him redo the trim it still didn't look great, as the trim had been removed and put back on three times and got a little chewed up. The Quartz vanity top was beautiful, I would have liked it better if they had matched the grain of the stone on the lip of the top to match better when they sandwiched the pieces together to make it, but it's still good. The overall attitude of the company got to me a little as well, I mean, I don't see a lot of pride in workmanship and I'm out an entire day's paycheck because of these people. I don't get in the way of them putting food on their family's table, I think a few thousand dollars in I'm actually helping them with that. I don't like being made to feel like I'm the bad guy because they didn't follow the plans we both agreed upon and the work suffered as a result.

Everything went well except that when the work was done the cabinets couldn't be closed because the overhand of the granite was in the way, we had to move the cabinets in order for them to close.  If you look at it closely there is room for improvement.  Otherwise I was very happy with everything.

It was good. It was very expensive. Initially they gave a cheap price but they kept adding things; we didn't like that.

We were shopping for a great price on Prefab Granite countertops, went to several places. Received man yprice quotes. Then we went to Pre Fab Granite Depot and asked if they would match our lowest price quote, that included a free sink, and a 15'' round granite *lazy susan* round polished cutout. They were happy to match our Lowest price quote!
Marco was our job forman and he was wonderful, and so was the entire crew!
The only problem on this job was the backsplashes, they came pre-cut, and pre -made. They did not match the granite at all. As soon as Marco noticed this, he brought it to our attention, then called the office. Michelle at the office was right on it; She said No problem, weand quot;ll fix everything, and they did!
They had only laid down the wood underlay so far, so he packed up all the granite, (so we could easily match) and we all went back to the store. We were then told to pick out 4 more slabs of matching granite. They would then go back to our home with them and hand cut our back splashes from those slabs, which they did. It did not cost us anything extra to do this, but it was time consuming because the back splashes now became custom.
We had one seam in the kitchen but just try to find it, it is all but invisible! The under mount kitchen sink cutout is flawless. The cut in the granite for the kitchen faucet is beautifully done also.
We are very happy with the results of the service and workmanship we received on this job and would recommend this company very highly as a result of this job.
The 2 bathrooms are just as perfect, we are so happy! Great Job!

4. Do you assure that your employees work safely?
There was no use of safety glasses, let alone breathing apparatus or other safety measures. OSHA would have a field day. I am sincerely worried about the installers health watching them breathe in clouds of silica dust which is a known carcinogen. I left the room every time they were cutting. If your house is not empty be aware that nothing is done to protect your house, garage or kitchen from this fine, nasty dust. They used acetone to and quot;cleanand quot; the quartz (which is not advised) and did it with bare hands. At the end they asked me for a broom - no wet/dry vac came on their truck and all the cutouts, bits of plywood and toxic dust were left inside my brand new base cabinets.
5. What is your warranty? After a couple of requests for a warranty I received a completely unofficial badly written letter giving me only a 10 year warranty. Compac ,which makes the quartz, offers a 33 year lifetime warranty. I was not given the numbers from the quartz yet to be able to register it with Compac. I am not sure it really is Compac quartz at this point I am still waiting for an answer from Compac. There is a one year warranty on the installation given to me with no charge and a service charge after the first year.
So in summary my sink was so badly cut they had to start over and cut it again (it is better but not perfect), the stove top didn't fit in the hole until they came back and ground it down, the holes cut the first time for the faucet and dispenser were not aligned (they told me to adjust the fixtures to hide the difference when I installed them), the top drawer on my bottom cabinet rubs against the counter (they said it was because I had Euro style cabinets), and the installers were completely uncommunicative, could not answer my questions, and were obviously annoyed with having to recut the sink and fix things. The manager did make an effort to quickly get the sink recut and wanted to make me happy, but their overall acceptance of not perfect quality and unprofessional, unsafe work leads me to write this set of questions. It was cheaper and the end result after the second install will meet my needs but I would pay more in the future for higher quality work, a safe work ethic and overall professionalism. Please ask lots of questions and ask to see other installations. Mine is not on par with what is in the showroom.

I spent $ 5000 on that work. They were decently priced. They did a good job installing it. When they got here, there were complications on what they were supposed to do. We went into the storeroom to pick out the granite and pay for it and everything. They took a really long time. The scope of the work was different from what I was told and what was done. I would not recommend them to others.

The work cost me about $3200. I don’t think the installers were particularly skilled. The price was really good, but I wasn’t impressed with the installers. I will consider using this company again in the future.

Excellent! Weis was very helpful and had great design ideas. We originally didn't plan on a design in the shower, but between Weis and the tile installer, we had a wonderful experience. At no time during the remodel did we ever have a bad experience. They finished within 2 weeks (others will tell you 5 weeks), and we couldn't be happier. The bathroom looks like a 5 star hotel. All of their staff was professional, competent and responsive. We have 2 more bathrooms to remodel and will definitely call Weis in the future. He wanted to make sure every detail was completed, and his office staff was friendly by answering our questions and ensuring the workers were on time. This was a great experience!

Installers arrived early and worked all day. They were friendly and extremely neat considering the dust caused by the cutting of the granite in the driveway.

It was great!! It was so easy to work with them, and everything was done in a professional manner. The work men were prompt and courteous. Everything came out looking beautiful! We had a slight problem when one wrong door was sent, but they ordered the new one and it was installed when it arrived. We didn't need to hassle them for anything, and they were very responsive to all of our questions and needs. They even gave us a few more ideas once they were at our house. I would recommend them highly.

There were no problems at all and we were very satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone. Whenever there were any tiny flaws with the work, they came back if they needed to or fixed it right on the spot. I was very pleased with them.
