Matt showed up on time and got to work right away. He was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I kept adding things to my list and he took it all in stride and seemed happy to help. It's nice to have someone who is local, accommodating and reliable. I would definitely call him again

Great job, worked quickly and professionally, and was on time. He did a wonderful and very clean job on the wall, and putting the wires behind the wall was easy to this guy.

He repaired a phone connection that had been torn out of a wall and changed bulbs in garage and kitchen. One of the balusts was broken and he said he was going to go find a new one. Either he forgot, decided he had a better offer somewhere else or he never got around to it. I was really impressed with him, he moved fast and knew what he was doing.

Just wanted to recommend Matt from PB Handyman if you are looking for someone in the beach areas. I own some properties here at the beach and also sell quite a bit of real estate in the PB/La Jolla areas over the last 20 years so I guess you could say I know handymen. He is very easy to reach, does a good job keeping in touch, is easy to communicate with on prices, and he follows through. He also did a good job contacting my tenants and arranging a time to meet with them to do the repair which is nice as a landlord. I will definitely be using him again for my units and referring him to my clients!

Matt did excellent work (see list above, in the order accomplished). He is very meticulous, detailed and careful. He won't do it if he can't do it correctly.

I purchased a home via a short sale. The home needed work. Matt same to the rescue by caulking, fixing items in the attic, taking down old shutters, replacing blinds, fixing window latches, speaker covers, paint touch up, cleaning areas that I couldn't reach (he has a very tall ladder); fixing motion detector lights, GFIs and some plumbing. He also will tell you when something is outside his expertise--I was told by the inspector that I needed a new air gap on the dishwasher, but when Matt ran the dishwasher through all of the cycles (which the inspector did not do), water flooded the floor. He said one of the lines was "frozen" and if he tried to force it, it would make matters worse. I then called a plumber. I was so grateful to Matt for discovering this--had I waited later, the new wood floors would have been in and they would have been ruined by the water. I must have called Matt 4 or 5 times over a course of 3 weeks to fix various items. He shows up when agreed, charges a fair price, and does everything with a smile. He will even go the extra mile and look for items to "work." When he took down shutters covering a slider, he said he would go to Home Depot to find blinds. When they did not have the correct size, he went to Loews. He even went to Ebay to try to find speaker covers for me. Hire him! You won't be disappointed. He's also a very good guy. My neighbor started talking to him and he hung something up for her at no charge. He flew to New Orleans to help with Katrina. The world needs more people like him.

So far, he's doing a good job. He's been working for me for six days, and everything's fine. He's charging $35/hr.

Matt was very punctual in returning my inquiry, and was punctual in arriving for quote and doing the job. This was the first time using a handyman and it was an excellent experience as Matt was very detailed and knowledgeable, plus he worked fast. He went the extra distance by after hanging the heavy chandelier he decided that he didn't like the plastic bracket provided and volunteered to go to Home Depot to get a sturdier metal version. He did not charge for the extra trip, the bracket, nor the time it took to install it again. Highly recommend him and will definitely use him again.
