Saw James do a friends kitchen and liked his laid back & budget savvy approach. Hired him for a small project (living room) and liked his ideas so much that our project evolved into more. He has an amazing eye for making small changes with big impact- He had simple suggestions on how to open up our old Kensington home to make it feel much more spacious Great follow through and sticks to the budget. With regard to decorating- we have wasted a ton of money buying things that don't ever seem to work well together or that we both dig. I have tried other design companies but they are either expensive, weren't into smaller projects, or wanted me to trash everything I had and completely start over with expensive new furnishings. James saved me so much money mixing, editing and rearranging the things that I had with new colors and simple accessories -- giving it a clean, current and contemporary feel that still works well in our historic home. Very do-able rates. 50/hour.
