Amazing--Richard came a half hour after I called Oz Electric about sending someone over for an estimate. He happened to be in the neighborhood , stopped by and said it would take less than an hour (they have a one hour minimum). He had the time to do it right then. He had some time left on the hour when he finished cleaning up, and he asked if there was anything else. I had him remove a broken, rusted bulb out of an outdoor fixture. He was friendly and did a great job!

Richard Osborn is the electrician that took care of my problems. He was able to arrive early for the appointment I made. Richard checked the circuit breakers and found that there was no problem at this time. He checked all of the electrical outlets and switches in all of the areas of the house that were impacted by the power outage. He replaced two light switches. He found a suspect wiring issue in one of the bedrooms light switch and fixed it. He kept me informed and showed me everything he did. Richard is down to earth, friendly and conceisious. I highly recommend Oz Electric and will use their service again for any future needs.

Pattie (very warm and friendly) called from the office the day before my appointment as a courtesy reminder.  Richard called 20 minutes before his arrival time.  He was prompt, professional, and upon completion the outlet worked and his work area was left clean.  I couldn't ask for better service!  I am making a list of more work that will be done by Oz Electric.

I called Oz Electric, Richard came out promptly and installed an outlet in a water heater closet.  He looked over the job, gave me an estimate, and was done before I knew it.  He fished a small section of wall for the ground since I hate exposed wire.  Everything was perfect.  He quickly checked to make sure nothing was knocked out of service, gathered his things, and was off to the next job.
I was amazed at his expertise.  Very polite, pleasant, and neat appearance.  I will be contacting Oz Electric soon to rewire my entire house to bring it up to date!!!!

Outstanding! I received a phone call confirming my appt. and was told that the tech. would be at my residence  within 30 minutes, which he (Javier) was. He was extremely professional, friendly and very competent.  He installed the fan, determined the problem with the other fan - and fixed it, and replaced several electrical outlets.  My porch light was missing a screw which he not only installed but painted to make sure it would be more of a match.
I was pleasantly surprised by the price - which was exceptional for the work done (certainly better that a few other quotes I'd
received.)  Javier cleaned all areas he worked and took the empty boxes away.
I highly recommend OZ Electric and will definitely use them again!

They did an excellent job.  They were prompt, courteous and very professional.  I received a call from the owner to confirm the next day's appointment the evening before.  The work required to cut into my drywall.  I've had drywall work done in the past and it can be very messy.  They covered all the surrounding furniture and clean thoroughly once they were done.  No mess was left.  Most importantly, everything works beautifully.

Richard and Javier were terrific service providers. They arrived on time and immediately laid out plastic and cloth on stairs and in bedroom to make sure they took care of our carpet. They worked expediently and finished the job in 5 hours. They were extremely cordial during their work time and provided us with some valuable advice. We were quite pleased with their work.

Richard and his staff are very professional and are definitely focused on customer service.  The electrician arrived on time, repaired and replaced everything as agreed upon and made sure he removed all the debris when he left.  Further phone conversations with Richard over other electrical concerns were addressed immediately.  When we have can lights installed in our living room, we will look to Richard and OZ Electric to install them.

Breakers were 22 years old and wouldn't click back on to restore power to one whole room. He did a great job. It's highly recommend. I would use him again in the future.

OZ Electric Inc. was recommended by Remodel Works Bath & Kitchen, who had nothing but great things to say about Richard Osborn and his company. After my first and only experience with this company, I now know why Remodel Works uses OZ Electric and speaks so highly of Richard Osborn.
Richard responded to my call for help immediately with honest direct professionalism. He was refreshingly calm and very easy to talk with, so I was able to get to the heart of my problem very quickly. Turns out that he was in the area on another call and was able to come over for a look in just 15 minutes.
We had just sold this rental condo and did not want to put any more money into it than was absolutely necessary. I had been told by several other electricians on the phone, that we would need to replace the electrical sub-panel for $2,500 - $3,700. That was not an option we wanted to consider. After checking the existing sub-panel and listening carefully to what we were trying to accomplish, Richard suggested a simple solution that saved us literally $1000's of dollars. What a great relief ! 
I'm 66 years old and have 40+ years of hands-on experience in all phases of construction and home renovations. Simply put, I've seen it all . . . from the best most  skilled tradesmen to the worst spin master pretenders.  I'm so very glad to have met Richard Osborn, an honest man who is definitely a highly skilled electrician and an individual with strong ethics regarding fair reasonable business practices. Even though his suggestion eliminated having to replace the electrical sub-panel, his estimate to replace the sub-panel was 50% less than the other electricians I called.
Thank You Richard . . . I wish we had met years ago. You will be the 1st electrician I call in San Diego from now on !

Everything was smooth as silk throughout the entire process besides two incidents. I'll be the first to tell ya, i contacted him more times than I can remember with phone calls and emails. Richard was very good at getting back to me and answering my questions. The two incidents i speak of are as follow:
1 - I had a question about my recessed LED lighting. This lights came recommended by Richard himself so I installed them. However, upon the installation I was having trouble with getting power to the cans. So contacted Richard, no response.
2 - second issue I had. The lights were flickering. I resolved my fist issue with a lot of troubleshooting but i figured it out. The second issue had me stumped so I reached out again with question. no response.
It turns out I was trying to use LED dimmers on both sides of a three way. FYI, this doesn't work unless you use a digital dimmer.  I didn't know this nor was ever told, hence why I tried reaching Richard. 
SO, in the end. Once all the dust had settled. I really enjoyed working with Richard. He helped me out a lot and did great work. I just felt a little let down when he didn't reply to my two question. But, the work he did provide was excellent and priced well. I would lover to work with him again if the need for a electrician ever came around. If it wasn't for the two issues i had, he would receive a rating of an "A" excellent!

Richard of Oz Electric and his assistant Xavier have provided a number of electrical services for us over probably ten years or so, and each time they have shown the utmost in professionalism and a commitment to doing the job right.  A few months ago we asked Richard for a quote on installing a supercharger for the electric car we just purchased.  He researched the best type of charger for our car, and provided a range of options and prices.  The high cost of the charging unit just by itself made us re-think our plans and put them on hold until the units came down in price.  A few weeks later Richard emails to tell us he had just learned that the state of CA had re-opened its rebate program for EV chargers as some customers who had initially signed up for the program never actually installed the chargers and so there were a few rebates still available.  Richard gave us the contact information for the program and urged us to take advantage of it quickly before those rebates were taken.  We did so, and not long afterward we had a supercharger installed for only the cost of the electrician's labor.  But, Richard did not do the work for us as the rebate program required us to use another electrician.   Richard cared enough about us as customers that he remembered our interest in a charger weeks after our talking with him about it, and then connected us with the program even though he got no business from doing so.   
Over the years Richard has installed extra outlets, garage lighting, wiring for an AC unit, kitchen under-cabinet lighting, ceiling fans, fire detectors and solved some frustrating issues with circuit breakers that were tripping.  He has provided outstanding service every time.  

I called and spoke to Richard about an issue we were having with the our home's power being spotty in certain rooms after a pressure washing and window cleaning yesterday. We knew it was probably a circuit that was down and it seemed to all be coming from one location but we could not figure out where it was coming from. Richard talked me through looking for a box on the outside of the house where we might be able to locate the problem (I didn't even know we had two boxes...one in the garage and one outside the house). Sure enough, two of the switches were in the middle position, so when we switched them back, it solved the entire problem. THANK YOU, Richard, for saving us a service call and being so gracious to help me over the phone. It is companies like these that I have zero problem writing positive reviews for and also handing over their name to friends when I hear of anyone needing a referral.

RICHARD WAS OUTSTANDING DID ALL THE WORK FOR ME PERMITS AND SDGE ETC KEEP ME UP TO DATE ON EVERYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON. ARRIVED ON TIME EXPLAINED WHAT HAD TO BE DONE AND HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. HE ALSO GAVE ME A GOOD POINT OF CONTACT TO RE STUCCO THE WALL WHERE THE NEW ELECTRICAL PANEL WAS INSTALLED. ALL QUESTIONS WHERE ANSWERED EVEN ABOUT IF I WOULD INSTALL SOLAR AT A LATER DATE.

It all went beautifully.   Javier came immediately, diagnosed the problem, covered the entire sink area with plastic and then repaired the light socket.  He was extremely pleasant and easy to work with, obviously very knowledgable.
