We are extremely pleased with our finished backyard! We planted in mid- to late-November and our plants have already doubled in size from the recent rains. It's nice to have many of the same plants in our backyard as we see when hiking in the nearby canyons.
Wes is direct and honest, which made the design process easy, as he quickly identified parts of our concept that needed adjustment. He was also able to figure out a convenient solution for re-building a section of fence on a tricky retaining wall and incorporate the pre-existing fence design to keep costs down.
Wes was very communicative throughout the project, making sure we knew when and how each step was to be completed. His style is definitely more "wild" than most landscapers I've dealt with in the past, which matched our concept perfectly. We were hoping for a backyard that would grow to blend with the adjoining property; it should grow to that point over the next year or two.
The project went so smoothly that our next door neighbor hired him to landscape their front yard the week after we finished!

Wes was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. In the two hours he spent with us, he gave us lots of great information, and tips on how we could do this work ourselves. We also talked about landscape design ideas for our yard, types of plants that would work well, and other factors to consider (ie. how to get rid of invasive plants currently in the ground). We opted to have him draw up plans for the yard, and he spent over an hour taking detailed measurements of the dimensions. They also do landscape installation, but we really appreciated being able to save some money and do this work ourselves, while still getting the benefit of his knowledge on plant types and locations. If you are at all interested in reducing the amount of water you use in your yard, and/or using native plants in landscaping, I highly recommend North Park Native Plants.
