It happened that I called and quot;My Mobile Computing Servicesand quot; on a weekend when Tracy was in the midst of some moving. Understandably, that caused a little delay in his coming to my home. When he came out he solved the problem efficiently.
He is pleasant, competent and reasonably priced.

I had a rootkit virus in my laptop; it was ugly! Tracy came to my home, diagnosed the problem, took my laptop and cleaned off the virus and returned the computer ready for me to use. He then helped me install some programs using his remote software. It was great because at the same time he showed me how to use some software that is new to me. I was especially impressed with Tracy because he followed up on the communication every time he said he would. He was friendly, very knowledgeable, and quite professional. I would highly recommend him!

I called him and within 15 minutes he was helping me remotely, he downloaded a program to scan the computer to find the problem. I called him back when the scan finished and he quarantined the virus. A little later in the day my husband had a concern about the data usage on the computer and Terren called us back after he finished his last job at 9:30pm and walked us through how to determine what was being used and how to read the info. I really appreciated his patience and my husband and I were impressed with his knowledge and skills.

Terren spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, first by having me try things on my own and then by gaining remote access to my computer. Because computer repairs are foreign to me I can't say if someone else would have found the problem sooner. However, Terren charged me for less time than he put in. Moreover, his hourly rate is much lower than several competitors that I checked. He was easy to work with and made himself available at odd hours. I feel that he is a sincere guy that cares about helping you solve the problem. My computer has been working fine since.

I called Terren, as a result of the Angie's list review. He immediately put me in touch with one of his team members located near my home. He (Tracey) came over the next morning and was so nice and helpful and explained exactly what he was doing and the problem. Prior to Tracey coming over to fix the problem I had two separate IT and quot;professionalsand quot; over to try and fix the problem and they were unable to. (one of them was Cox technician who provided the Internet service ) Not only did Tracey fix the issue and replace my router but I was also surprised how little the repair costs were considering he spent several hours with me and even went to the store to buy a new router, come back and install and ensure all of the PCs in the house were connecting to the wireless properly.

The following week (today) we had an issue with one of our other PCs and immediately called Terren. My boyfriend's PC was overrun by a nasty virus and, as usual, they were responsive, friendly and were able to remotely fix the problem by walking us through the repair and also showing us what to do if the problem occurred again. I'm glad we finally found a reliable, honest and responsiveness's IT team that we can call on even if the problem is minor. It was worth signing up for Angie's list to find Terren. THANKYOU!!!!

I called Terren late in the afternoon, explained my problems and he, with my permission, took over control of my computer. He did a thorough analyasis of the complete system, all the while explaining what was going on (I'm not a computer guru). Terren told me exactly what needed to be done, furnished a printed report and only charged me $20.00 for his time and expertise. He was on the phone with me in excess of 51 minutes! I highly recommend him and his service. Most excellent!

After several unsucessful trips back and forth to Best Buy. I fianlly decided to try someone different. After speaking with Mathew on the phone and setting the appiontment, he did his research on my computer and came up with a completely different diagnosis. He called me the morning of my appiontment and suggested installing a second internal fan because the problem I was having was caused by over heating of the unit. He bought the fan, came and installed it, checked my computer for viruses and even adjusted my settings. Great experience! Thank you!!!

found his telephone number from angie's list, called, explained downloading problem with new computer, and terren gave me explicit directions that cured the problem. terren was polite, efficient and refused any payment.

The problem was that the video feeds would "freeze" and have to buffer to continue, which was very distracting.Terren connected to our computer and was able to modfy the settings to elimnate this problem

After my initial call to Terren, he had his associate, Trevor, call back. Trevor was about to start a big project with a local company, but fortunately he lives a few blocks away from us and was able to stop by that evening. He offered to either work on the computer there or take it to his place, we opted to let him have the PC overnight. He diagnosed it as overheating and was able to fix the boot-up problem. He suggested we purchase a little platform that cools the laptop from below, which we did (from Fry's) and the problem has not happened again. He brought the laptop back to our home the next day. Trevor also has his own company, DirectLink Computer Services, but you can can reach him via My Mobile Computing Services and Terren (who I believe has relocated outside of the San Diego area). I am sure I will call these guys again, but will probably submit the next review under DirectLink if Trevor does the work again next time.

The session went reasonably well. My Mobile Computing Service has 2 employees (2 independent co-owners) who service their clients. I worked with Trevor. He had a burdensome workload, was a little late, but kept our appointment. He troubleshot and resolved most of my computer setup issues and gave great tips on best practices for running a small business (proper file structure, backup procedure, etc). He knew his stuff (very experienced and knowledgeable). Only caveat is, like most IT professionals, he s spread a little thin workload wise, so patients is necessary for routine maintenance, non-emergency work.

I found him on Angie's List but, I was overall a little disappointed in his service. He was doing business on his cell phone while he was here. I did not get a sense that he was the kind of professional that I was looking for. I am sure that he would be fine for installing programs and such but, I would not use him for any more intensive work. I did not compare prices it did not seem terribly unreasonable but, I have never had anyone come out to my home to repair my computer before.

I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE MEMBER ABOUT IT, WHO WAS UNABLE TO DESCRIBE SPECIFICALLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. I OFFERED TO REMEDY THE SITUATION WITH ADDITIONAL SERVICES AT NO CHARGE, AND LEFT IT UP TO HIM TO CONTACT US OR UPDATE HIS REPORT (WHICH MENTIONS NOTHING OF THE WORKS ACCOMPLISHED). CLIENTS DON'T ALWAYS LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE TO TELL THEM ABOUT THEIR SITUATION OR PROBLEM, AND THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS ABLE TO DISTINGUISH THE LITERAL POSSIBILITIES OF THE ISSUE AT HAND, FROM THE ABILITIES OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER. Terren promptly returned my initial call and was able to come out on the same day. He was able to diagnose the problem/s which were related to the motherboard and or the memory cards. The computer is now working properly. He was friendly and quick considering the many issues it could have been.

I decided to skip the aggravation and call someone up front to make the installation. Terren arrived promptly the day I called him. In no time he had the printer up and running. He also removed some old equipment and tried to simplify some of my rats nest of cords and plug-ins. He was very pleasant and I will surely call him again for any computer installation or problem.
