I love toyota don’t like the pacific beach mossy toyota Horrible location to do business with. If it was one time I would say it’s probably a bad employee but every time I have gone there I have had issues with the service and other services High pressure sales tactics Horrible service department that wants to charge for everything. Got overcharged for the service package spoke to Toyota in LA and they said we should never have been charged that much.

They jerk you around they make you stay there a long time. I would say it's probably no worse than any other car dealer when your trying to buy a car. They could have just done it quickly and given me a good price  for my trade in, I didn't find out until I got home that they really gave me too lower price.

We have been dealing with Mossy Toyota for over a year and have been so pleased with the service department.  No matter what service agent we took the vehicles to, customer service has been outstanding.  Our 2002 Highlander continues to serve us well and although I prefer to get a new one, Mossy Toyota keeps it in great condition, at a reasonable price, so we don't have to.  We love getting a free car wash after servicing the vehicles.  Always an outstanding job.  The staff is always friendly and customer service oriented, as if you were their only customer.  We live in the Del Cerro area and of course there is Toyota San Diego near our house for whom I would trust with my life.  It is well worth the extra time and effort to taking our vehicles to Mossy Toyota.  Thank you Mossy for always doing a great job!!

They tuned my car from top to bottom.  They changed the filters and fluids, rotated the tires and gave it a general health check.  Then they washed it.
What I really like about this location is their customer waiting room.  They have free  popcorn and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies.   They used to have free coffee too, but now you have to pay for that along with the soft drinks from the vending machine.  They also have multiple televisions setup, free WiFi and plenty of comfortable chairs to choose from.  The hour and a half I had to wait for my car to be finished went by very quickly.  The only suggestion I'd give for improvement of this area is to get rid of all the cheap souvenir displays.  They make the waiting room look very cheesy.  And bring back free coffee!!
As for the work they did on my car, I have no complaints other than I think the price might be a bit high for what was actually done.

I made an online appointment and they called me to the check -in desk within five minutes of the appointment. Nice clean waiting/dropoff area. Nice service agent, he went through evertything to be done. I did my homework and found the best price for new tires, and the Toyota folks matched that price, so it was one stop shopping. I do not think they drove the price up with l with unnecessary repairs, everything seemed reasonable. They also held the car for a few extra days because I was on travel - another nice thing to do. All in all, a good experience, but as usual, I paid a premium price for what was done, since it was done at the dealership. If you can afford dealership repair/tune up rates on your Toyota, take it here.

I am very pleased with them. In the past I sort of had a negative thing about dealers because I thought they were kind of extra expensive but my most recent visit to Mossy, I've been there on and off for two years and I left them for a while and thought I'd find something cheaper then I came back two months ago. I was just so pleased of the price and the services there at the dealership. They have a waiting room. They bring you coffee and attend to you while you're waiting. They come and ask you if everything is okay. And, they wash the car when you come in for any kind of work. What's comforting about them is that I feel sure that their mechanics are factory trained and really know the car. They did a service on the car and then they checked the breaks and they told me that they were at a number 12 out of 14. They told me that I can go to 6. I never had anybody give me a number with my breaks so I was very pleased with that. Apparently, they have these little measures, calipers or something that measure the thickness of the break lining that's left. The serviceman that took care of me was really quick, attentive and pleasant. They had this place where you sit, it was an open area in their main showroom and it has a TV, reading materials and complimentary chocolate chip cookies and coffee. Right by it is a parts department which is a nicely appointed place. They have a lot of accessories that you can buy for your car if your interested.

We arranged the appointment at Mossy because it was closer to my work and my husband's 0800 o'clock medical appointment. While making this appointment, I specifically confirmed with the Mossy Toyota Service Department that they had a shuttle service that would be operating at the time my husband needed. I made the earliest appointment at 0700 to have our 2010 Prius' solar powered fan checked out. The Mossy Service person setting up the appointment did not mention a thing about any special circumstances required for this kind of solar fan service. So my husband dropped me off at my work earlier than I needed in order to arrive promptly to Mossy Service at 0700. When he got there at 0700 as planned, he was the first customer to arrive. He got the paper work done and then waited for the shuttle as other customers started to roll in. When it was 0705 and no shuttle was there yet, he inquired about it at the service department and they said, "Oh, he should be here soon." So my husband waited until 0710, inquired again when they said, "Oh, he must be running late." The next time he asked (0715) they told him the shuttle driver was going to be late, he asked how long and they said the driver would be there within a half an hour. Over the next thirty minutes my husband was told that the driver should be here any minute. No one from Mossy suggested that he call a taxi, let alone offering to call a taxi for my husband or the other waiting Mossy customers. Nor did any Mossy personnel (management? where were you?) offer to drive any of the customers either in the shuttle, that was just sitting there, nor in one their own vehicles nor even some 'stray Toyota' that just might have been in the vicinity! (meaning a new car that could have gone out for a 'test drive') My husband was frantically trying to call the medical office to see if they could perform some miraculous schedule juggling, but their office doesn't open until the last minute. Finally, the driver shows up, all the customers pile in, and all the other customers get taken to their destinations first (remember, my husband was the first customer there!) and he was very last! Now, seeing as how having Toyota customers arrive late to their jobs or miss their medical appointments (resulting in having to pay out of pocket for that appointment let alone the stress on an unhealthy person, the embarrassment and inconvenience of having to reschedule another appointment!) will likely result in losing that Toyota customer for good, don't you think there should be some kind of back up plan or protocol (management?!?) for this kind of scenario? However, if neither the entire dealership or at least the so called "service" department are run with the goal of exceeding the customers expectations, then no Mossy Toyota personnel will ever rise to an occasion like the one my husband experienced.Next, the final insult. When my husband returned to pick up the car, they informed him, (and this is the truth), that because it was a cloudy day they were not able to perform any work on our car because the problem involved the solar panel.

Anyway last month Matt and his team: 1) Located the car my daugher was looking for (she had looked at every competitive model), 2) Got it to the dealership the next day, 3) Handed me the keys so I could take it for her to see it at her work, 4) Worked the deal we were interested in 5) Then went above and beyond by calculating an even more attractive lease deal, 6) Re-worked the numbers 7) Added a college discount to the deal, 8) Stayed late so my daughter could come from work and make the purchase. We wound up going out the door with the exact RAV4 we wanted without spending a dollar. AMAZING.
