Tom and his crew only know how to do excellent quality work. They keep their word, got the job done well despite plumbing problems which interfered with their tile.

WE LOVE TOM MONJI!! Through a series of unfortunate events, we found ourselves needing to replace our do-it-yourself installed shower stall (hint - hire a professional the first time!!) We did some research and talked to people and found Tom Monji, a local tile professional with over 20 years' experience. Without too much lead time, Tom was able to address our shower needs. We did our own demolition but after that, Tom took over and we didn't have to do anything but pick our tile and meet the shower pan installers. Tom came out and measured everything. He arranged for the hot-mop of the shower pan and shower bench we included and to move the previous bathtub drain to the center of the shower stall. Once that was done, Tom installed the greenboard on the walls and the waterproof board on the ceiling. He floated the walls plumb, smooth and level (impressive to watch!) and then tiled everything. He arranged for a glass company to come in for new shower doors.
Tom was on the job start to finish - he stayed with our job until it was complete (he didn't start the next job until ours was finished). He was extremely clean and neat - when he left each day, the work area was clean and we could use the rest of the bathroom. He took care to lay down paper on our tile floor from the front door to the bathroom, so nothing got tracked inside. His work area outside was left clean and organized. Tom is pleasant to have around, too (when you have someone working in your home daily for a couple of weeks, it's important to like them!). The whole job took about 2 weeks. As I said, we did our own demo. Tom's price did not include the shower pan hot mop and rerouting a bath-tub drain or the shower doors. For the plumbing and hot mop, he recommended and we used Keith Myron Plumbing. Tom recommended and we used California Glass Enterprises for the shower doors.
We will contact Tom again when we are ready to remodel our other bathroom. The quality of his work is outstanding. Our shower is beautiful,(oh, so beautiful!!) and structurally sound. We joke that it's the place we'll head to in an earthquake because it's so reinforced and sturdy now!
We can't say enough good things about Tom. He really does excellent work.
