MATTRESS DISCOUNTERS

The salesman asked our daughter about any back problems and how she slept (back, side stomach?). He had her try several beds based on her responses. We wanted to spend only $500. He still showed us $900+ beds, but helped her find one more reasonably priced. Since the minimum price needed for a free bed frame and delivery was $600, he suggested a cheap pillow to get us to $600 to save the $50 delivery fee. He applied the expected level of pressure to buy an expensive mattress pad, to be sure she did not void the warranty by soiling the mattress. Even though we explained she would use a featherbed in between her sheets and mattress, he was quite insistent that the warranty was in jeopardy. We declined to purchase the pad. Since we shopped late in the day, we could not get next day delivery, but they delivered on Sunday, carried it upstairs, set it up and were gone in 20 minutes. They would have also taken an old mattress if she had one.
