Major #1 Appliance Service

Excellent service, excellent attitude.

Called morning of the 1st day, call returned that evening.

Arrived the morning of the next day, acquired model number , (which I did not know), went and got part from parts housefor my Jenn-Air down draft confection oven, and fixed. At a reasonable cost.?

 

I like this guy, you really tries hard to please, very impressive. He knows his stuff.

Technician diagnosed the problem that the float at the bottom was stuck. It is now working.

We called this company because of the good reviews and made an appointment.  When the service person did not show up at the scheduled time we thought "uh, oh", this is a flaky deal and called to ask when the person would be there.  Fortunately we were home that day and the service person showed up about an hour later.
After looking at the ice maker and trying to make it work, William told us that he thought the control panel had burned out and needed to be replaced and quoted us a price for doing so.  We agreed and he said he would order the part and call us when it came in.  About a week later he showed up and replaced the part and the crushed ice is now flowing freely.  It took about ten minutes.
William was a very nice and knowledgeable repair man and gave us alll the information we needed to make a decision.  He did not push us, but let us come to our own conclusions about whether we could do without crushed ice as opposed to the cost of repairing the board.   We are very pleased with his service and would use him again.
The only drawback is the person setting up the appointments.  The person seems a little confused about how to make them and then remembering who he sent out, but other than that it was an excellent experience.

I was expecting a whopper of a repair bill for three appliances.  Much to my surprise, the owner investigated less expensive repair options before pursuing those that seemed most likely but cost more.  He could have done several things to drive up my bill, but he was completely honest.  He even showed me a fix for my freezer that didn't cost anything.  I was thrilled.  My appliances are all working great now.  I was also impressed that he knew how to fix three different types of appliances all made by differenent manufacturers.  I will definitely be calling Major #1 Appliance Service for any future appliance service needs.
The only ding I give them is because he was 2 hours late getting to my house, and I had to call him to find out what was going on.
