Leslie's was a real pleasure and easy to work with. She was quick to respond to my initial inquiry. We were easily able to arrange a meeting time to exchange goods. Upon further examination of the purchased curtains, Leslie had some great suggestions that would improve the alterations. The alterations were completed in a timely fashion. We will continue to keep Leslie number in our phone so that we can use her services in the future.

She did this work in 24 hours. The work was exceptional. She sat down with me prior to extending the pillows to make sure she knew exactly what I wanted. I knew from the first phone call that she knew her stuff and that she would be easy to work with. Loved working with her on this small project. I will needs some drapes done for my bedroom and she will be the one to do it.

I looked on Angie's list for sewing services and found Leslie du Fresne who fortunately is close to my home in North Park. I called and explained my problem. Leslie suggested I bring the panels to her and she was able to see me that same day. She examined the curtains and explained what she could do. The panels are dark blue with a white backing. She wanted to create a seam that would show only white and not have a blue line on the window side. She said she would try to have the curtains ready by the following week. However she called about 3 days later to say the curtains were done. When I picked them up they were neatly folded in a plastic bag. Her work was meticulous and the seams were barely visible. When setting the curtain rod to hang the curtains I realized they were too long so I will definitely be taking them back to Leslie for hemming.
Leslie works from her home which is in a gated apartment complex. It is necessary to call her before you arrive and ask her to meet you at the gate. Free parking is available in front of the apartments or on the street.

Leslie re-upholstered three (3) good sized couch cushions with a nice microfiber fabric. The couch was leather but not the greatest quality; the cushions were getting worn while the body was fine. We did a chocolate microfiber to match the chocolate leather and ironically provdided a better look than the original leather material. Since Leslie is a designer, this proved crucial since finding a fabric that would assimilate to the look of the couch was a challenge; the thought of another fabric other than leather perplexed me.
This was not the first work Leslie has done for me as I'd known her for a number of years prior to this work. She actually helped me with the design of a condo remodel, rug designs, and more recently provided sewing services creating custom drapes. I was not a member of Angie's until 2014 so going back and completing reviews I should've done previously.
Truth be told I also have Leslie perform a lot of sewing repairs on pretty much anything, clothes, cushions, bedding, you name it. She's extremely personable, fair, and talented.
