If you’d like to waste several hours communicating with multiple agents at J W Flooring about a carpet installation, then choose to do business with them. There were four unrelenting hiccups with my carpet installation. 1.I explained to the J W Flooring agent that they needed to cut the carpet BEFORE arriving at my condo because there was very little room for the installers to cut the carpet. However, the installers arrived, and asked me for a space where they could cut to fit. There was, of course, nowhere to cut the carpet. They had to shuffle around the parked cars. 2.Although I sent the condo guidelines for contractors to J W Flooring, the carpet installers arrived and asked me for the condo guidelines. They had not received or reviewed the 2 pages, and asked me to describe what was in the 2 pages. The J W Flooring agents could not find a way to share the 2 pages with the carpet installers. 3.Although I requested and received two estimates--one which included the two closets, and the other one which excluded them. I decided to carpet both closets, advised J W Flooring, and paid for both closets. However, when the carpet installers arrived, they told me that the work order stated that the closets would not be carpeted. Then I had to scurry around and show the installers the communiques. In the end, both closets were in fact carpeted. J W Flooring work order was incorrect. I had paid for the flooring of both closets. However, the JWF work order to the installers (a different company) said that I had NOT. 4.Months before the installation, I explained to J W Flooring that a) there is minimal parking on the road, and that 2) parking at the condo was underground. They needed to send a truck that could enter the underground garage. However, the installers arrived with a typical truck which was too high and could not enter the parking area. There was, as predicted, no parking and they had to scrounge around to find parking. All my emails and telephone calls to J W Flooring on these four issues to ensure a smooth installation were a complete waste of time. J W Flooring did communicate these important considerations to the installers. I ended up with a headache at installation. It gets worse! When I explained these missteps, JWFlooring promised me a Home Depot gift card. But it was an empty promise! First, she said the gift card had been sent by Home Depot. But I never received it. Then she said, she sent it for the second time, but, again it never came. When I told her that the second attempt had also failed, she stopped responding to my emails. Get ready for a rough ride with JWFlooring! You’ll never want to see those words again!
