JIM'S AUTO UPHOLSTERY

Jim's was recommended to me by nearby Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet. Their price was much lower than any of the shops I called around to. The appointment had to be scheduled a few weeks out due to a backlog at Jim's, but it went very smoothly. Drop-off and pick up were easy, and they did a great job at exactly the quoted price.

2004 - The service was fabulous, from the price, to the quality to the professionalism. Loved it. The upholstery still looks good. (1994- Lexus LS400) July 31, 2017 (2007 LS430) Again, totally happy. The first time I dealt with Jim (whom has since passed away) and this time I dealt with Brenda his daughter. I highly recommend them. Professional and the quality is amazing. By the way I went to another shop in Lemon Grove to compare and no comparison. Even during the discussion I knew where I would be going. So hats off to Brenda and how she is maintaining her Dad's business and the reputation.

I was amazed again, the job was perfect, much better that I expected, and very fast. If you have a tear, fringed edges, etc. on your car interior, you should go to Jim 1st before going anyplace else Cost was geat too. . Bill Bailey Solana Beach

I bought the upholstery and I had him install it and the coast was $375.  I contacted another company and they said it would take 2 to 3 months and 400 to 500 dollars.  Jim gave me this bid and he said 2 to 3 weeks and he did it within three weeks.

,We selected the upholstery material that we wanted at the UFO upholstery material shop, and they went there and bought enough of the material for the job. They removed all the old upholstery, rebuilt the seats, and installed the upholstery on the seats, headliner, door panels, etc. They also upholstered the trunk interior, and they also made and installed new floor carpet. They did a very good design job on all the upholstered areas.
We gave them enough time to do the job the right way, and they did it.
We get complements all the time on the beautiful upholstery job that they did.

They were recommended to me so I didn't consider prices anywhere else. It didn't look perfect but it looked all right. The seats looked fine but they made the sun visors too thick. Nothing has ripped so far. Their hours are really crummy. They are only open Monday through Friday and they close pretty early. They don't stay open later any nights. Something weird happened with my keys. They got it done when they told me. The first guy I dealt with seemed pretty professional but the lady that owned the place was kind of short and I wouldn't consider her very friendly. She wasn't that nice. I would probably look around before I used them again. They would be my second choice.

I wanted to have the job done in the minimal time possible, since I use the motorcycle for transportation to work. I called ahead and was connected to Bill, who does the motorcycles. He explained he works on motorcycles on Fridays only, and explain what he would do and gave me a rough estimate (over the phone, but turned out to be very close). As per his advised, I brought in the seat on Thursday, and the job was ready to be picked up Friday afternoon, as he had assured me. Altogether a good experience: friendly crowd, serious and on time. Good workmanship.

Jim's Auto Upholstery did a great job replacing my convertible top. Brenda, who runs the office and coordinates the repairs, was very friendly and efficient. I brought my car by for an evaluation and they quoted me a price that was $400 less than the dealer and said they could have it done in a few hours once we scheduled the maintenance. I brought the car by on the scheduled day a week later and they replaced the top and had it ready by lunchtime. The new top looked great! I had to bring it by a week later for some adjustments which they did on the spot. I would definitely recommend them if you need work done for your convertible. While I was there, I saw them installing a custom top for a beautiful classic car and it looked like they were doing a great job. Ditto for seats and interior upholstery. It looks like they do it all, and the work they did for me was great. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

We were referred to Jim's by our Custom Auto Body and Jim did a wonderful job. The car was finished within a day and half. The price was exactly what he quoted and we would use him again.
