Total disaster. I purchased a swivel rocker recliner chair and a small couch with a delivery and old couch removal. The sales person told me that the delivery people will put everything together, it was supposed to be included in a service, it was not an assembly but just to put furniture in a room and put legs on. I had to sign a statement that I will inspect furniture on arrival. I was not able to inspect because they would not even take it out of the box! The delivery people were extremely rude and did not put anything together, complained about Ikea promising customers extra service which they do not provide. I also paid for removal of old furniture, which were not removed because they had legs on and would not fit through the door. The delivery people refused to remove the legs. I called the customer service Ikea Schaumburg and the guy was also rude telling me that I have to remove furniture legs myself if they do not fit through the door, remove boxes myself and that they only deliver boxes, and do not put legs on. I understand that, but why sales people tell customers a totally difference story! They want to make a sale so tell you anything so you buy but then they do not deliver what they promised.

We purchased some furniture online because the Schaumburg Ikea store didn't have the items we wanted in stock. It was terrific! We ordered it, they called to schedule a delivery and the delivery service they used was great. The only word of caution is be prepared to pay a delivery charge! But it was worth it (to us). We didn't have to rent a truck (too much for our car).
