Greg Stein Tree Service

It was fine, it was great. He gave me a quote that was fair and competitive and he did a job to my satisfaction. I've used him many times and his price keeps going up but he has a good quality service. He's right there and he tells you when will he come out and gives you an estimate.

Greg Stein and his workers did a nice job. The tree had not been trimmed in quite a few years so it was rather overgrown. They took care to trim it right and leave it ornately favorable, checking with me periodically for approval. Making a canopy takes more time and care than merely hacking away with a chainsaw and leaving a bunch of stumps. I appreciated their care. They advised me of a potential problem with a mighty pine in my backyard. It is on a steep slope and beginning to uproot itself from the weight of it's branches that were unbalanced and only growing on the west side tipping the tree TOWARD MY HOUSE. I invited several other tree trimming services to give me an estimate to trim my trees before inviting Greg Stein, and Greg was the only one who noticed the problem and brought it to my attention. Thank you.

I was very satisfied. I felt that he did a very good job and performed exactly what he said that he would do. While he was doing my tree, one of my neighbors had him do work for her as well. She was also very pleased with the service. I would consider using his services again in the future.

I am so happy to have found Greg through Angie's List! He answered my call on the same day and set up an appointment for the following. Along with listening to the work I needed performed he helped problem solve the fungus problems I am having with my Citrus tree. Greg also noticed the bark was badly peeling off a few areas and suggested a solution. He was able to come and do the tree trimming for us the following day. He arrived right on time and worked hard all day with his brother helping. He not only showed up on time, but he had taken the extra time to stop and buy the remedy for my Tangerine tree bark. He really did a fantastic job and we're very happy!!

I called in November (2007) and Greg immediately called me back. That day he went and took a look at the tree and called the next day with the estimate ($750.00). He told me the best way to handle the tree was to poison it first, then return 6 to 7 weeks later when it was dead, and remove it. He poisoned the tree in November and returned this past week (1/3/08) and did the work. Greg and his associate worked the entire day (much to the neighbors' chagrin. This is a noisy process and can produce a lot of dust. In retrospect I should have alerted all the nearby neighbors about the noise and dust; my fault not his). The cost of the project was what he bid and he did an excellent job. He also guaranteed his work and said while he did not believe sprouts would pop up due to the poisoning process, if they did he would return.

His prices were cheaper than everybody else. The quality of his work is great, and he s always early. This work was minor, compared to the big work he has done for me in the past. I would highly recommend him to everybody.

Greg was recommended by a friend, he called back promptly, and came out the next day. He made lots of professional suggestions to improve the look of our garden, but listened carefully and understood our requests and concerns. Brought out three workers, who did excellent work and cleaned up well. This company is a pleasure to deal with. Dealt with the trees in conservative manner, as we prefer. Greg's work philosophy is to understand and respect his client's wishes.
