GPS moving and storage

This company is an absolute joke. First they will screw you over with completely obscure pricing - the "guaranteed price" was nearly doubled when the movers arrived - what was explained that their senior moving consultant Don had "made a mistake and used the wrong dollar per mile calculation" (I got 2 quote updates - and he made the same mistake 3 times???) At arrival there was basically nothing what was not damaged. And I am not talking about one or two damaged card-boxes - I am e.g. talking about a 3000$ designer steel table which was not only not wrapped at all when it arrived but obviously was left out in the rain for a few days. The moment this company has your money they will not give the slightest s**t about your belongings. I am 100% convinced that the 5 Star ratings you see here are paid reviews. If you get a quote from GPS - don't even pick up the phone!

LONG POST BUT PLEASE READ AND DON'T FALL FOR THIS. If I could give zero stars I would. I spent a lot of time doing research with different companies to see the best fit for a CA to WA move. When I was first getting a quote with GPS, they pretended to be super helpful and when I expressed my concerns with damages listed on other reviews with their company had they assured me it wouldn't be like that. When we got the initial quote (~$3100), it was higher than what we were hoping for, so I ended up selling a good amount of furniture to offset that cost. Large pieces too, night stands, bookshelves, office desk, chairs, etc. When the movers came, they ended up quoting me even MORE than the original price (New quote given was $4200). I was in disbelief but they give you the whole 'we're already here, can't load until you agree.' We scheduled this move 5 days before our lease ended to give us time to clean the house as we were renting, and we left the next day to drive to Washington. So we didn't have any time to find another moving company, which we explicitly gave our timeline to them beforehand. Afterwards, I called one of the owners (Tammy) after one of the movers agreed the quote didn't seem right. The owner sounded completely uninterested in our conversation and wasn't even willing to hear me out. They literally increased the quote over a grand even after big pieces were taken out. The nightmare kept going when the arrival of our things kept getting pushed back and not once did the company bother to update us on what's going on. From the beginning, they told us the delivery would be on this day, and then it moved to another day, then that turned to the end of the month etc. Their secretary didn't even know. They confidently assure you when things will be taken care of and then change that expected date multiple times without even telling you, the only way you'll even know is if you reach out to them (good luck with that, they love bouncing you around and giving vague answers.) We were patient and were never disrespectful because we know things come up. The receptionist even knew who we were each time I would call for an update. They give you a date and then disappear, you don't get updates at all unless you call. One of the times the secretary told me it would be leaving soon, then more time went by and I called again and she said the truck had broken down and tried to say she had already let me know. When she realized she was caught in a lie she tried to back track and finally told us because of the truck nothing had left. It was an absolute nightmare not knowing where our things were and they didn't care at all. No professionalism. They really wait for the last minute they can legally get to justify their lack of communication and updates. If the whole experience wasn't terrible enough already, the state of our belongings when they arrived were even worse. Some pieces were shattered beyond repair, tv stand was too broken they couldn't even unwrap it and had to be tossed. The dog crate was shattered, boxes were crushed and dented. They have no regard for your belongings or your time and of course the owners and staff (Tammy, Don, Veronica, etc) went MIA, never even bothered to call to apologize or even speak to us even after emailing them. When we filled a claim with the company, it took them 3 MONTHS to even get back to us and their solution was offering $40, which you have to go get notarized for you to even get anything back so even more work on your end. You won't get updates from them either unless you bother to reach out.They denied our claim and said they wouldn't cover some of the pieces they broke even with proof taken when the movers were here so they wouldn't try to deny it later. Let me save you time and money and don't even bother with these clowns. Pay extra and go with a more professional company. They act super friendly with the whole 'family business' BS and once you pay them, they don't care about your things. Worst experience, worst service, ridiculous prices, and terrible staff.

Great company I moved from Vero Beach,FL to San Diego,CA and filled out a few requests online to get a decent quote to move my 2 bedroom home. I was looking for a reputable and established company, while they all seemed professional one company stood out. GPS Moving and Storage. Vanessa was knowledgeable and set everything up for me. Including packing everything up. The movers who came out, Tony, Alex, and Adrian, were amazing, they packed my entire apartment in no time and made sure everything was padded and wrapped up before loading it on the truck. They stayed in communication with me throughout the move and delivered everything on time as quoted. When they got to San Diego a few days later, they unloaded everything where I requested and setup all my furniture. Everything made it and nothing was damaged. I would highly recommend GPS to anyone who needs an honest reputable company with reasonable rates to move them.

I moved to San Diego from Chicago, IL and I struggled at first to find a professional and reputable company. I had received several quotes and just wasn’t comfortable with the lack of concern most of these companies had regarding the pandemic. Finally I hit the jackpot with GPS. Vanessa from was amazing and put my mind at ease with the many precautions they were taking to ensure their employees weren’t ill and to ensure they followed strict CDC guidelines. She quoted my move, at a great rate and we scheduled everything out. The crew who came out, Adrian, Tony and Abraham, were on time masked and gloves on and quickly packed my two bedroom home, using generous padding and wrapping so nothing would be damaged and put everything on the truck without issue. They were careful but fast and efficient. They stayed in communication with me throughout the move and delivered everything on time as quoted. Unpacking was quick and painless as all my items were unloaded to the rooms I requested and they even put my beds together. Everything made it in one piece. I would highly recommend GPS to anyone who needs an honest reputable company with reasonable rates to move them.

... horrific. They lost so many items and damaged the things that did survive it. Don’t use them. Tammy Cruz will ask you to take your review down and when she settles the release includes a non disclosure clause. Before I signed I posted my review again and then Tammy retracted the agreement. Run run run as far as you can come this moving company. We used them to move our items from California to Texas, it was the WORST moving experience of our families life (we move often for work) The company destroyed EVERY piece of furniture we have worked so very hard for. Damages came to over $30k - They refused to apologizes or take account for any wrong doing. On top of destroying everything they messed up the delivery time not once, not twice but 3 times, not that is mattered, when we FINALLY got our stuff from a STORAGE unit (not even our house, where it was suppose to go) every item was damaged. We then had to hire ANOTHER company to remove our items from storage to our new home. When we finally spoke to someone they gave us a lovely credit of $300. lol! $300!! Let me remind you, they ruined priceless furniture, expensive TVS, family heirlooms. Its a sad company, run by ****-pore people. For the safety of your family and your items, I highly encourage you to use another company. One with compassion and morals. It will save you months of crying over your hard earned items. Shame shame shame on this company & Tammy (Pssst) Horrible lady. PS --The driver of the truck who missed the delivery several times (because he said he went out and drank) then added us on facebook and harassed us because we reported him to the company. We were in fear for our life, because he knew where we lived & had the key to the storage still.

Recently, I hired GPS moving and storage to transport me and it was an excellent experience. They arrived quickly enough and immediately started working but before they started to pack furniture, they examined it and pointed out any problems with furniture, so we all knew about the initial state. They took it very carefully, always checking the door frames, thresholds and devices that could interfere with their movements. The best option is the best one. Thanks team.

The movers which I had used for moving were great and wonderful. Their timing was perfect and it was very pricing compared to some other companies. It was a really smooth move. Everything arrived in great condition and when they said it would. I have no complaints. I have heard some great things about GPS moving and storage from others before hiring them. I think it paid dividends for me

On the day of the move , The movers arrived early and worked very fast. Nothing was broken during my move. The move occurred exactly as planned. I would use this moving company again.

Dealing with moving stress is always hard. I decided that I just couldn’t deal with the stress and hired GPS moving and storage to do the job. Their movers were top notch. They arrived on time, packed everything like clockwork and loaded my belongings onto the truck. They delivered everything just after a couple of hours to my new house and everything travelled quite well. It was a hop on- hop off move and these guys are really good at it. I highly recommend everyone to hire them.

Professional, polite and powerful team. From the first call with the rep to set the move, to the final follow up call, the movers from GPS moving and storage did an exceptional job. They’re a shining beacon in a sea of mediocre and bad movers all large items were padded and wrapped, including my large framed pictures and mirrors. Heavy items were handled carefully and professionally even when hauling up and down flights of stairs. Well worth the cost, and highly recommended.

GPS moving and storage did an amazing job moving the contents of our 3 bedroom house without any breakage and with no damage to either property. The four-man team we hired was cheerful and courteous, professional and creative. They came up with efficient and safe solutions to some unusual challenges and got us unpacked in record time. I can't say enough about their attitudes and teamwork. By the end of the day, it was all done in the best and smoothest way possible. We will never use anyone else again but them.

I was so nervous about my big move but GPS moving and storage really helped ease my concerns. They were professional and courteous every step of the way. They arrived on time and even finished ahead of schedule. I have a collection of fragile items and and every one of them made it to my new home intact to be displayed in the antique cabinet that also arrived without a scratch. Nothing was broken or lost and they have this system where you and they check off so you know how many boxes were packed and delivered. I would highly recommend this company to a friend for a long distance.

I moved last week and the experience with GPS moving and storage was great from start to finish. The foremen called me to let me know they were on the way and were there on time. The moving team did an excellent job. The movers were courteous, friendly and above all he took care in handling my items. They ensured that no packing materials were left in my home after they finished unwrapping my furniture. I will definitely recommend them also because the price is fair for the quality of service they provide.

Efficient movers. They brought all necessary needed equipment that worked well especially while lifting heavy materials. The five men really did a very good job and just asked us to sit and relax. I was a bit hesitant to use GPS moving and storage at first, as I’ve had negative experiences with moving companies in the past, but in the end my fears were for nothing. Throughout the process of moving I was treated with only the highest courtesy and respect, a quality which seems to be lacking in other moving companies. My needs were made a top priority, and everything was arranged and stored to my satisfaction, with nothing broken or scuffed in the process. I would recommend them to anyone for their moving needs.

I was very pleased. The sales rep was always responsive to my quest attentive to my needs the movers picked up as scheduled and contacted me during the day to check it again and confirmed that the furniture was very well packed and protected. Nothing was broken or even scratched. The price was reasonable compared to others. To transport a large number of important or fragile items I think you will not find a better company. I would highly recommend GPS moving and storage for moving needs.

The movers are truly exceptional! If you want the good moving company, is the one you need. They are working as they should. They did everything as I told them, and the delivery was very fast, without any delays. My furniture was in good condition at delivery, because they wrapped it, and they were very careful with it.

The sales rep was very informative, helpful, reliable and also patient, as we had tons of questions and concerns. Finally when it came to finalization of everything and delivery, the movers fulfilled everything that was promised and gave us receipt for the services including the stairs additional flight charge. I have to move often because of my job, and I know how difficult it is! When it comes to moving companies, boxes always go missing or the delivery is always delayed. However, with this company, nothing like that happened during our last move. These guys are so professional. They gave me a very solid quote and promised to take good care of my stuffs. They sent movers who were all very capable. They picked up heavy couches like they weighed nothing. The packing and loading part went smoothly. All my boxes and furniture turned up right on scheduled date and everything was intact. I strongly recommend these guys.

I was not going to hire any other company but GPS moving and storage. They reason is simply their reliability and reputation in the market. The movers arrived sharp on time on the moving day. Seeing how punctual and efficient these men were, it only strengthened my trust in them. They packed up everything creatively and each box was labeled properly to avoid confusion later. GPS moving and storage services sent 3 men got there earlier than they thought, their previous move having taken less time than they thought. I was expecting a half-hearted job from the movers. But they really surprised me. The movers were so professional and experienced. The four men finished packing everything very quickly and they loaded everything without any issues. They delivered on time and I found all my belongings safely transported. Overall they are very courteous, professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend them among my people!

The way GPS moving and storage does things, you can tell that they are experienced and that you are in the right hands. They will start with arranging belongings in boxes and marking them. Later, the boxes will be loaded into trucks carefully to avert any destruction. They were efficient enough to handle your move. They executed the relocation swiftly and carefully. One of my friends also used them and he said the same thing. These guys moved him so efficiently.

After doing an online request and receiving several quotes from online I decided to use GPS moving and storage. The movers showed up on time and went to work. They wrapped my items and quickly loaded the truck. Everything arrived at my new home on time, intact, and without damage as promised. I highly recommend this company for anyone with a coming move and working with a financial plan.
