I brought my iMac to Bestbuy to get cleaned because it was running slow. They had it for nearly three days. They called me less than one hour before they closed. I picked up my Mac approx. 15 prior to them closing. They did not plug it in to show me what they've done. He simply said it was ready. I drove home and immediately set it up and noticed that my monitor was no longer stable. Because they were closed, I took it back the following morning. I told the representative the issue, but he stated that only the manager could approve repairs. I left the Mac there expecting a phone call to discuss... nothing. I called the following morning and they said I needed to come in and talk to the manager. I did, and he said that they did not break it, so it had to happen during the 2 mile transit to my house. I told him that it was most likely broken while here for three days, but he stated that his response was not going to change. I broke my own computer.

They were honest in what I needed and even took away the and recycled the box for me. They also did not accept my offer to tip them it was a great experience.

I called the day before and got the run around on the phone.  When I was finally able to get the right person, it took another 20 minutes to schedule the appt.

I was told they would be at my office between 8-12.  When I got to my office I called the number i used the day before to make sure they had my office phone number to call when they were on their way, as I didn't want them to call my home as I was not there as I was at my office.  the person I spoke to, Brandon, said the tech called my home at 7:58 am.  I asked him to call the tech and tell him I was at my office and to give the tech my office number.  He told me that he had no way to contact the tech and that I should go to the Best Buy store across the street from my office and they might be able to contact him.  I told Brandon it was 8:15am and the store wasn't open, He told me it was - that they open early.  I checked - they don't. 
I called back and got a different person who apologized for the information I got in my last call and found the tech, called him on the phone and he siad that he would be at my office between 11 and 1.  When I said I had been told between 8 and noon, i was told that that time had changed to 11 and 1.  

Fortunately, the tech showed up and 11am and told me I needed a new router.  I asked him to stay put till I ran across the street and purchased one and had him install.  He was great - the customer service people are untrained and not useful or helpful at all.

won't use them again.  this is the second bad experience I have had with the geek squad

NfAFTER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED, THEY CLEANED THE ENTIRE AREA THEY HAD USED AND TOOK THE TRASH WITH THEM. THEY PROVIDED ME WITH WRITTEN INFORMATION TO KEEP ME OUT TROUBLE. THEY DID NOT TRY TO SELL ME ANY ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT OR SERVICES.

My installers showed up on time, gave me a call to let me know they were on the way and made sure to introduce themselves upon arrival. Both were friendly and answered all of my questions about the television, and the operation of the unit. They were knowledgeable and fast. I was impressed by their ability to get the job done quickly and go through the operational parameters of the television. It turns out that I had purchased the same size television as my old set (55 inch) but it was literally 1/2" too wide for the cabinet. The guys were so nice to pull up on their phones some units which I could get that would all installation right up on the wall but extend to just outside the cabinet and they offered helpful alternatives to me. Because we were moving anyway, I was okay with keeping the television on a table top until we move, but I certainly appreciated their helpful attitudes.

I was able to purchase a new IPad Mini for a very good price and I also received great tips on operating my Samsung Tablet. They also reminded me they do price matches on all products they sell. As an example I called them about a Sony Receiver that was on sale at Amazon.com and they said they would price match that item also. I then came back and bought the Sony receiver for a great price! I'm very happy with my buying experience at Best Buy!

We used them for a refrigerator repair.  My son ended up fixing it instead.  We used them 6 months ago.  It was still under warranty and they came 3 times but they were unable to fix it.  I had to take time off work 3 times, so I was not impressed.  I was put on hold a lot on the phone, it was difficult to get an appointment.  I would never use them again. The workman was nice once he got there.  I will not be using them again.

I had a 10 year old desktop. I received a desktop, laptop, and notebook as a gift. It was purchased at Best Buy and included set up of wireless network. Overall the service was good and all staff involved were very courteous and professional. However, there are some things that would improve it. Service appointments are set up in 4 hour windows. Mine was scheduled for noon - 4:00 p.m., but the tech called me and said he had a cancellation so he was at my house at 10:00 a.m. That worked out fine for me. I guess the thing that stands out is that the confirmations and reminders for the appointments are done via telephone - I thought since it was a "geek" type of thing it would have included an e-mail (but that's just me). First of all, when I picked up the hardware I was not given any instructions. I was supposed to take everything out of the box and have it plugged in before the technician arrived. The tech told me he was supposed to charge me for this but he made a call and I was not charged since I did not receive instruction. The tech was ontime and the entire set up took an hour (probably less if I had unboxed and set up everything like I was supposed to). I wanted the data transferred from the old computer - I was charged $68 for this service. The set up went fine. Their customer satisfaction service is set up to be clearly in their favor. Again I thought such a service should be done electronically, but I received a phone call that instructed me to "press 1 if I wasn't completely satisfied" and that was it. If they are serious about knowing how they are doing they would have a more detailed survey process. I don't have any big complaints here, but if anyone uses the Geek Squad for a network set up be sure to ask them what your responsibility is as a customer to avoid the delay I had. I would recommend to the Geek Squad that they show their techno savvy by using e-mail and perhaps texting for their scheduling reminders (in addition to phone calls).

Two people had shown up to do the work. They were dressed professionally in suits and ties. They were knowledgeable about the work they were doing and worked as a team. The service was not cheap, but worth the end result.

I got the stereo and speakers for my birthday and went to Best Buy to have it installed. They told me that I had to make an appointment or I could wait until the technicians finished between appointments. So I did the later. Everything worked fine until about 1.5 weeks later the speakers starting grounding out. So I took it back to get it fixed and again they wanted me to make an appointment or wait between appointments. Then I purchased a sub woofer and had them install it since they were familiar with the wiring of the stereo. I'm very happy with the service although I will say that they need to have more technicians available for more times of the day. I didn't like the appointment requirement because when I did make an appointment they started later or were working on two cars at the same time. They were often interrupted by store personnel to ask questions for customers inquiring about possible installation work and times associated with that. Overall I'm happy with the work.
