Mikhail arranged an appointment as soon as possible when he heard our A/C wouldn't work because of the upcoming heat wave. He called 30 minutes prior to arriving - as arranged - which gave me the opportunity to go into work and not have to sit around waiting yet still be home in time for the appointment. We have worked with Mikhail twice -once for the heater and once for the air conditioner - due to our unit being 11 years old - and have recommended him to several others. He is prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and a really nice person.

Fan happened to work fine when Mikhail was there. He told me to buy a circuit board on eBay if the problem continued, which I did. Installed it myself, cleaned the motor and it works fine. He didn't want to charge at all, but I insisted, so we agreed on $30.

Mikhail came and started to diagnose the problem. At first, he checked the thermostat and then the heater in the attic. He mentioned initially that he was able to bypasss the switch and isolate the problem to controller. he had a new controller card that he replaced and said he would charge 286. This would not fix the issue and then he said switch is the problem. So, He said he did not have the switch so would have to buy and come back on 1/10/2017. He installed the switch 2 times and that did not fix the issue. He then said replace the entire heating unit. I was not sure if he was able to fix. I am afraid he did more damage to the heating system by using bypass that caused overheating. Now I need to get this resolved using a more qualified professional. I am not happy that I got a marginally qualified professional to diagnose & service my heating system. It is not working and is damaged now.

What does your schedule look like to further discuss? We would be more than happy to talk through the situation and ensure your needs are met. Our direct understanding of the situation is as follows: The customer was attempting to solve the issue on their own and ended up shorting the control board which led the system not working. When the technician arrived at the residence, the system didn't work and the thermostat was blank. After evaluating the situation, the technical followed the appropriate protocol and process. He began by replacing the control board, after which the thermostat started working. This however, did not solve the original problem which was that the temperature limit switch was not functioning properly. The technician unfortunately didn't have the switch in stock which required the technician to come back the next day. After replacing the limit switch and spending 5+ hours at the customer house, the heat exchanger was still overheating and wasn't safe to use. The technician recommend that the customer replace the heater and offered him a discount to complete the replacement (lower than the "Big Deal" offer). The customer declined to do a replacement. When this decision was made, the technician put all the original parts from the heater back and left the heater in the condition it was prior to his visit. Mikheal responded promptly and was very direct about the type of furnace we needed, He did not try to sell a lot of more expensive options. Wor]k was completed in a few hours. The furnace works great and seems to have been installed 100% correctly.

It all went very well. Mikhail was extremely prompt, courteous and professional. He was also extremely flexible in terms of scheduling, and I appreciated that. He completed the work in very short order and when I asked him for an itemized invoice showing how much he had paid for parts etc., he was quick to respond and transparent (we had agreed on a flat fee ahead of time). Mikhail is one of those rare honest and good-natured contractors with whom it is a pleasure to do business.

Mike was very responsive to all my phone calls and texts. Always polite and prompt. Very good service, and kept me in the loop the whole time. It was a great pleasure to work with him.
My particular instillation was very challenging because I in a multiunit condo with my AC Unit on the roof. The roof is not easily accessible and required multiple people to lift the AC unit. Previous AC Repair people would not perform the job, or would give me ridiculous quotes that required a crane. Mike got 2 addition guys to help and lifted the unit to the roof. The installation was quick and easy after they were all very friendly.
I would highly recommend Mike for any future projects. He is honest, prompt, and professoinal.

I called Mikhail mid morning on a Saturday to tell him our problem, and he said he'd be to our house between 1 and 3. I was running late getting home by 1 and texted him to say I would be there in 5 minutes. He was already at my house, and waited for me. He checked it out, and right away told us the problem and that he would have a couple guys come at 6 to fix it. That is awesome service. The whole experience with this company was awesome! I will definitely use them again, and would recommend them to everyone!

Misha the owner was so nice and professional. He came out when our AC died on the hottest day of the year and talked with us about fixing the old system and ultimately we ended up getting a brand new system for about the same price. The new system works great and the efficiency helped our electric bill!

I had two other people come out and they couldn't fix the original issue. He spent 20 min inspecting it and was able to fix the issue right away and get it running. Unfortunately, we had severe water damage to the unit after he came and I called him back out to inspect it. He said he could fix the water damaged unit, but recommended that I get a new unit due to all the corrosion in the wires. Since it was an insurance claim, I was perfectly fine with this and trusted his recommendation.

Fresh Air Mechanical is a rare gem in an industry where great service is tough to find. They are a top notch provider and did a phenomenal job in getting my new AC system in place. I have since recommended them to several friends who ALL walked away satisfied (even the difficult ones...we all have friends like that!). In the future for any heating and air conditioning needs there is no question as to who I will call.
