I had been shopping for a lender/loan for over a month before I locked with BluFi. Resources I used included Lending Tree, Costco, SmartQuote and Amerisave. In all, I compared 18 different lenders and brokers before settling on them. It was purely coincidental that they are located in the same county as me. Scott Dickson, the loan officer was very nice, straightforward and knowledgable. The loan processor was responsive and efficient. You can check your loan status and upload documents via a secure website. The now more arduous loan process seemed streamlined and relatively easy. My escrow closed in 16 days, much faster than others were quoting. I saved nearly $1,000 in closing costs thanks to their low escrow, title, etc. fees. Unexpectedly, they saved me $425 and a hassle by getting an appraisal waiver, which everyone else said couldn't be done! I highly recommend BluFi Direct Mortgage - funny name but great service.
