Irene and Adrian are the best!! We went into their showroom with little idea of what we wanted or could do about a fireplace surround and hearth and they had several options for us as soon as they saw a picture of the fireplace and tile flooring in front of it. They then gave us names of places to look at marble slabs, which we did. They followed through with all the details, getting the slab from the slab yard and doing the fabrication. They even had one of their men (sorry, the name escapes me) , help us decide on the layout before the fabrication, so that we were able to choose the part of the slab we wanted to use. They called within two days that the pieces were ready to be installed. Do not get expect this all the time, but it was two days before Thanksgiving and I think most other clients were out of town. Aldo and another man arrived as scheduled and worked diligently to perfectly place the hearth on our tile. They returned the next day and carefully installed the surround-in one piece!
We couldn't be more please. It is important to note that Irene was always willing to answer any questions for me or get the answers from Adrian whenever I called or e-mailed her. She never made me feel like an interruption. Adrian was also very approachable in spite of all the jobs he oversees. He even gave us his direct cell phone number and responded to texts.
We would definitely use them again for any fabrication of granite or other stone and are recommending them to everyone we know including our contractor.

Several places turned me down, they didn't want to be bothered. So while I think the price was high, I take into account that it's a small price to pay when I did most of the project myself. A company who's willing to help is a great asset for the DIY crowd. Plus, I rate them high on professionalism. They got it done on a Friday, which was great for me so I could proceed with weekend install work. They were pleasant and responsive, and they got it done without anything going wrong. Note - central location means I didn't have to drive to Santee, El Cajon, Spring Valley or Miramar Road. Nice people.

I needed two bathroom vanity tops fabricated from granite. I am installing them myself. I made cad drawings of what I needed. I just needed two granite remnants and a fabricator. I went to three businesses and Florentine Company had the largest supply of remnants and competitive pricing. I selected two of the remnants and they fabricated them per my drawings. They came out exactly the how I wanted them. Florentine Company has very fine craftsmen. Thank you for the good quality work.

I hired them because the original stone company I hired blotched the job, cutting a remnant piece too small without consulting anyone. Florentine was the opposite of the original stone company: very professional, attention to detail in writing down all the measurements, and taking notes on all the finishing touches.

The sink countertop (which was fabricated offsite) was done very well with extremely clean edges, a great polishing job, and clean chaulking. Even the backsplash was cut so that the corner fell subtly just short of the counter edge so it didn't make the whole sink area look like a giant tub. Perfect job on the sink vanity counter.

The soap niche for the shower, which was fabricated onsite, was a slightly different story. The soap niche had two shelves, which they cut exactly the way I asked and angled imperceptibly such that the water would drain out of the niche but not angled obviously. However, the caulking on the soap niche was a little sloppy with some air holes left and more caulk residue around the edges than there should have been. Fortunately, I was able to scrub these off the tile before the caulk completely dried. The edges in a couple areas were cut down a little too much and inconsistent with the rest of the edges. Overall, though, the soap niche was done well considering that it was a more complicated task.

I was thoroughly satisfied with the workmanship and the men working on the project. They definitely appeared to enjoy their craftsmanship. They were polite, cleaned up the work site every day, were punctual, and finished the project in the time allotted. I would hire them again.

FLORENTINE IS NOT THE CHEAPEST COMPANY IN TOWN FOR MARBLE INSTALLATION. WE DECIDED TO USE THEM BECAUSE OF A REFERENCE. MARBLE IS EXPENSIVE SO YOU WANT A COMPANY THAT KNOWS HOW TO HANDLE IT. THEY DO AN EXCEPTIONAL JOB.
