The install went great! Jimmy is a really down to earth nice guy and does incredible work. We had all our tile removed on the first floor and installed a wide plank dark acacia wood with new baseboards. We couldn't be happier with the results and would recommend Factory Direct Floor Store and Jimmy to anyone we know.

We originally contacted several flooring vendors but each one raised a different set of issues, so we quickly developed an evolving Request For Proposal (RFP) based on all the great feedback we were receiving.  Unfortunately, at this point, most of the vendors refused to update their quotes.  The one vendor which was most responsive was Factory Direct Flooring.  They revised their quote several times and, honestly, we 'upsold' ourselves on several additional improvements to the installation.
In the end they leveled the floors, replaced all the original nails with hundreds of screws, added an additional layer of plywood as well as rubber deadener in some areas, and then installed a beautiful Acacia floor.  We've had nothing but compliments from friends and family.  And we couldn't be happier with the service and performance of Factory Direct Flooring.
It took me awhile to get around to writing this review but I really felt that they deserved it.

I did all the driving around and comparing prices and companies, and of course looking all companies up on Angies list. I was Very impressed with the time Greg took with me while I asked questions, and picked his brain.  I feel very good about my choice of  this company.  BTW, all of the floor stores were close in price, If that's all you judge a company with.
  This is a Very good company to do business with.  Greg is the best, He knows the business inside and out!  You won't go wrong doing business with Factory Direct. In Fact, Greg was the deciding factor on which company to choose.  He came and took measurements, gave me great ideas to think about, explained things in easy detail, so i could understand *flooring lingo*.. lol  Go on and have some companies come out and give you estimates, then compare their paperwork to Factory Directs, the thoroughness  and attention to every detail on the paperwork,  is a written down, no surprises!  It's all there in black and white!!
He told me straight out that my Stairway would be a difficult job, and the installer would need extra time to do this part of the job!  Bob Lotta, and his installers crew were very easy to work with too.  As foretold the stairs were a *PITA*, but Bob built them so they look truly amazing, his attention to detail is a big reason they look so good.  The installation took over a week, but in the end, it was So worth it. Everyone, from Greg, to Bob and his Crew worked as if they were at their own homes.

Brian and Greg are truly professionals and give excellent customer service.  I had a few mishap things happen with the laminate floor installer.  I like it that Greg followed up after a job is done.  The few issues were quickly resolved to my satisfaction.  There was no hesitation on their part to fix the few things. They truly want satisfied customers and that speak volumes to me.  I would use them again and not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who wants new flooring.  Also, they have a great selection of quality laminate flooring.  My home looks beautiful and the laminate looks like real hardware.

We used Factory Direct last year in our old house and we are now repeat customers with our new house! Brian is great to deal with - he knows his stuff and has good recommendations for types of flooring. Once we chose the materials, Janny did the install and he was fantastic! Very hard worker, talented and did things right (rather than doing things too fast) - with great attention to detail. He also did a great job on the very difficult spiral staircase. We are very pleased with the work. We recommend them to our friends and family.

Could not recomment Bryan from FDFS enough. After getting several quotes from flooring stores around town, we went with FDFS given their excellent pricing, excellent customer service and no high pressure sale. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end.  The closing of our home was a 5 month process due to numerous issues and Bryan was extremely accommodating throughout the whole process. He even offered to hold amd resell  the hardwood that we had already ordered w/out charging us a restocking or penalty fee.  After we closed on the house, we went back to FDFS for removal of tile/carpet and installation of hardwood, tile, carpet, baseboard and new toilets. All of the installers were professional and cleaned up after the job was finished. We are extremely happy with the final product. The hardwood floor looks absolutely beautiful. Our only disappointment is that the beautiful engineered rosewood we selected chip and dent much easier than we anticipated so we just have to be more careful of not dropping things on the floor.
Everyone that we dealt with from FDFS is extremely nice especially Bryan. This is the place to go if you're looking for new flooring!

We have wood floors in our house but decided to go with laminate floors in our rental to save money and for their durability. I read some good reviews about Factory Direct Floor Store on Angie's List and other sites so decided to check them out. They had a great selection of laminate flooring and their prices were the best I found. I was surprised at how much like wood laminate floors look now and was able to get a beautiful distressed mahogany look wide plank laminate floor that was incredible. Fantastic price too. I needed the floors done quickly because I had a renter coming. They had it delivered and installed in less than a week! I came to the store with my measurements but Sam came to my rental the next day to confirm measurements and look the job over. Two days later Dorian came to the rental and did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier! His attention to detail was the best. I think the installation was better than the wood floors I had done in my house. Dorian installed the floors, put in new 4" baseboards, and left my rental impeccably clean and looking better than ever. I would definitely use them again and will highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

I received quotes from 6 different vendors for full installation of ~800 sq. feet of laminate or hardwood (including removal of old carpet and  installing new baseboards). Factory direct was least expensive (in some cases by a LONG shot). Installation overall was well done (they were set behind by about 1 day, since because they found old plastic tile underneath most of our carpet, which they removed no charge). Installation of baseboards was fair (needed some paint/wood filler touch up, especially for the nail holes, which I did myself), but I overlooked this considering all the extra work they did for the removal of the old flooring. Overall very nice job, especially for the price. Floors look great!
