Express Plumbing left the house in worse shape than when their plumber came. Two taps that were watertight before (one on hot water heater, the other under utilty sink) were now leaking and water flooded the garage. He should have told us there was a problem. Wife and I cleaned up the mess and were able to prevent water damage. He then lied about the hot water circulator to our home warranty company--"First American Home Buyer's Protection" saying it was "running dry" when I knew as an engineer it was stalled. I called a real plumber from Hanna Plumbing and they replaced the pump, noting that it had failed due to age.

The first plumber (Edgar from Escondido) was a disaster: unhelpful, rude, unprofessional in all aspects. Do not allow this guy into your house. However, Terry Watson (Owner) was very accommodating by scheduling a replacement plumber, Neil, who is based in Temecula but services the Desert/Palm Springs area.  It took several months to schedule Neil's second visit, with a last-minute hiccup, but it was an outstanding success well worth the wait.  I'm sorry that Neil felt that he should have been paid more for his visits, but this Angie's List deal is a great deal for the homeowner: 1 hr of plumbing services for $65.  I hope that we parted in a friendly manner.  Kudos to Terry for consistently putting the customer first.

They didn't do what I wanted them to do. They corrected the problem pretty quickly however.

STELLAR service from start to finish. John was punctual, professional, quick, and best of all friendly. He took time to explain the functionality and benefits of the parts he added, and even helped me brainstorm ways to prevent sandy trespassers from being able to use the shower without permission (it's outdoors, near the beach). 
Job very well done. I'll definitely be using Express again in the future.

Neil T. provided the plumbing.  He was excellent: fast, efficient, helpful, top professional.
The office staff was a problem.  They promised a time for a plumber to arrive.  He did not arrive
as promised.  The jobs had to be put off for another day.  The office staff seemed confused on the
phone.  Once they get their scheduling straightened away, they will be top notch (especially, if they have 
plumbers like Neil T.).

In 4 weeks they never contacted me. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Our window for him to be there was between 8 and 12 but he didn't show up until 1:30. He showed up not prepared for the job he was supposed to be there for. His first comment was "I can give you a quote for that because that's not what I'm here for".  He thought he was there to fix the gas leak because apparently the company that hired him was overbooked causing him to be late.  The master bedroom faucet is loose and will need to be reinstalled.  The plumbing that included the drain from the sewer line was left unfinished; leaving the repairs to myself.

I was supposed to hear from the company within 2 days. I never got a message or a call. I left a voicemail and heard nothing back.

The service worked out just fine. The service was for a rental house that we had. The job got done, and we haven't had any complaints.

Everything went fine. The contractor was in and out quickly and all is well.

Everything was better than expected.  They were very courteous, arriving on time and explaining everything very well.  They completed the job faster than expected (which involved digging up my yard to get to the main line to replace it), working consistently from around 8 am, and finishing around 3 pm (dirt replaced and everything cleaned up).  They even completed the work a little under the amount that was originally quoted. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work done - I am very happy I went with them. 

He showed up in time, was courteous and very clean, he kept what i know is a messy job to a very minimum mess (i have seen other companies perform the same job and usually they make a big mess).  He explained the process and what he thought the problem was after inspecting the main sewer line.
He was very Professional.  I had tried calling other companies with higher scores in Angies List (three to be exact), since it was saturday NO ONE of the companies with maximum score answered their phones, even when they had advertised they had emergency services available.  So I went down the list looking at someone with proximity in mind.  These guys not only picked up the phone at my hour of need but also scheduled one of their specialists that was close to me that same day!!!!.  Once he finished he even recommended an online coupon they had in Angie's List so i could save even more money!!!! that is honesty that you don't see from bigger greedy plumbing companies.
I am very happy with the service, and definitely would recommend them to anyone, they are just awesome!!  I've dealt with the bigger companies before (yep the ones with the super high scores), and found out that there is nothing better than a Small Business Owner taking care of business in a professional, super fast and honest way.  
If you have a plumbing problem don't call the big guys that will be more expensive and only care how much money they can get you to pay at your hour of need. Call Express Plumbing, they really are what they advertise.

Given the leak was on the interior of my home ruining ceiling and walls with the water damage, they said they would rush the job. Three days later they show up at 3:30pm. I said I hope they work late cause this will take a while.  After punching 5 1' x 2' holes in the ceiling they identified the pinhole leak on the copper water supply line.  It's now 5:00pm. 
They said sorry but have 4 other jobs to get to. They advised me to turn off the water main to the house and the soonest they could return is in 6 days.  I called the office manager, Brittany, to explain that turning off the water main to the house for 6 days not going to work.  I asked if the plumbers could stay and repair the leak and clean up the watery drywall mess all over my floor.  She certainly was NOT apologetic and said 'we have a business to run' and the "plumbers are late getting to their next 4 jobs."  Really?  What am I to do?  She said this happens all the time and for me to call another plumbing company to come do the repair.  
Express Plumbing's switchboard is in San Diego (858) and send plumbers all over Orange County and San Diego County. 
Terrible. As I'm typing this, water is pouring through my ceiling.

We had a voucher for $200 that we paid $119 for.  As it turns out, the plumber said the job was going to be an extra $25.  I found it hard to believe that we were charged $225 for a job that took no more than 1.5 hours.  When I expressed my concern to their office they offered to give me a refund or another voucher.  I said I don't mind paying the entire amount for the job, but asked it they charge $225 for 1.5 hours of work.  They said they just wanted me to be happy and again offered the refund.  I chose to take the voucher since I wanted them to be paid for the job.
The anchor bolts on the toilet were not trimmed and the plumber did not caulk the base of the toilet, so I still had to do those two things.  I also provided him the parts he needed.

It did not go well with them. I have a home warranty and when they came out; they said that it was not covered under the warranty. I was not able to use their service because of that. I ended up doing the job myself for considerably less. I would not go back to them, because of the way they treated me.

They did finish the kitchen plumbing but they did not finish the job in the bathroom. There is still one showerhead that has a problem. They were supposed to come back out to fix it but they never showed up. We are still working with a broken shower head in the master bathroom.

It was good; I really like them. They were honest and reliable.

It was wonderful. The guy was great; I liked him a lot.
