I paid approximately $400 over several months to purchase plants for my new home. The plants were of good quality except for one bare root tree I purchased. I planted it bare root: of course, no leaves. It never produced leaves and was a dud. It had spots on the trunk as if there was a fungal infection. The tree cost $24. The manager told me to bring the plant back or take a picture and bring it in. Then, apparently, another employee replaced that manager. The policy of Evergreen is not to refund any money. They would not refund my money or give me another plant. Yes, I burst into tears as I had bought so many plants from them before and this was an investment for us. The man that waited on me was very stoic and just walked away from me. How do you know that the plant is a dud if it is bare root?
