All went well except for a couple of days delay due to being short a painter.  It was explained and we dealt with the delay.
Our vehicle is an older model and the old clear coat was wearing off so we needed to get it fixed before it developed a worse condition. Did not want to spend a great deal for a super paint job where all trim is removed then car is painted so we went with Angie's list to see who was rated well for our needs. Earl Scheib had a good review and we feel for what we needed the job will
last us for the years we plan on keeping the car. Mitch the owner was straight forward and we appreciate his honesty. Will recommend them if asked.

This is for my an old, but low mileage car. The paint had deteriorated, was peeling and ugly. I want to several places to get estimates for painting and to review their work. Most of these body and paint shops seemed to be play the and quot;insurance gameand quot;... charge super high prices, which is paid by insurance companies, who then charge high insurance rates. Some quotes were higher than the value of my car! However, I was paying for this work; not insurance companies.
Did try a paint shop that quoted a lower price; however their work was much lower quality.
Finally, based on reviews in Angies, we went to Zook's Earl Scheib, on Rosecrans St.
Zook's Earl Scheib, provided the lowest quote, even for their high-end and quot;Diamondand quot; package. However, I was reluctant to take my car to them because of: (1) the poor reputation of Scheib from many years ago, and (2) the bad neighborhood. I was wrong!
The car looks beautiful! They removed the small dents. Then they applied their high end paint package. (Note: that this is only for the exterior; they did not remove doors to paint the insides.) Their high end paint package made the car look like new. My wife is a perfectionist and even she could only find some minuscule flaws. The quality of their work is far better then the other low price shop.
Justin, the manager, is a gem. No high pressure. Really knows his business; for example, he found dents that I had not seen.

Called and found out hours. Dropped off vehicle. Provided flexibility in the schedule. Performed the work for the quoted price. Did a good job.

An estimate for the work from Maaco was about $1350.00. Earl Scheib did the same work for just ove $1000.00. The car was sanded, rust and body damage was repaired, and then the car was repainted. I got the car back in only 4 days, and it looks beautiful. Everyone at Earl Scheib was very nice and helpful, especially Justin, the manager, who is very professional, knowledgable, and extremely courteous. He is will to do whatever it takes to earn your business. I highly recommend this business. Good work, competitive prices, and nice people, too.

I live at the beach and mycar had rust, bad oxidization, and body damage. I got an estimate from Maaco to do all of the work for approximately $1350.00. The estimate for the same work, sanding, body work, and repainting the entire car was just over $1000.00 at Earl Scheib. The car was completed in just 4 days, and it looks beautiful! Everyone there was very nice and helpful. Justin, the manager, is very professional, knowledgable, and extremely courteous. He is willing to do whatever it takes to earn your business. I would highly recommend this business. Good work and competitive prices, and nice people, too!

I got three estimates: Bumper Doc was $700, MAACO was $500, and Earl Scheib was $400. I read some reviews on another site regarding Zook's (the owners name. The company's are now independently owned.) All 47 reviews were outstanding so there was no hesitation in taking it to them. Justin, the manager, was absolutely wonderful. Courteous, helpful, and very professional. The other places I explored said it would take anywhere from 3-4 days to do the work. Justin's guys did it in one day. Sure it was just the roof, but one day! I thought that was great. If you are seriously considering getting a paint job for your vehicle, I highly recommend these guys. They're the best.
