Dualtone Muffler Brake & Alignment

Started on time (appointment). Ended on time (under an hour). Price same as estimate. Documentation of before and after specs.

Bob was wonderful on the phone, and Gary was amazing to deal with. The whole team was gracious, speedy, and thorough. I wish they were here, where we live, instead of in San Diego! They would be our go- to shop. Really, we were blown away, And can't say enough good things about the folks at Dual tone!

I got a little work done on the car. We had something done four or five years ago, and went back and had the breaks checked. They took it all apart and took an hour or two checking everything and as we had work done earlier everything was fine and there was no charge. They were thorough. They were very nice. They were very polite. They were professional. They had everything cleaned. We are happy with them. They do not try to charge you a bunch. They are pretty good.

I originally took the 4runner in for brakes in February but was having trouble stopping so we took it back. I was told the front brakes had to be redone (at the establishment's cost) but the back brakes also needed to be changed. I am happy Dualtone fixed the problem.

They used to be very good previously. I haven’t gone there in about three years because their service has gotten really bad. Their price was more than twice as the going rate would be for a standard work. I just got a run around when I asked questions and they got hostile.

It went well. They told me I didn't need an item listed on the original estimate and lowered the price. They gave me a senior discount.

I would highly recommend them. They stand behind their work. It has been 6 months since my brake job, but they fixed the brakes today and changed my burned out brake light (without me asking) for no charge!

I called Wednesday for a Saturday appointment. I was told there are no appts given on Saturday. It is first come first served. I dropped in shortly after opening and was put right on a lift. The craftsman who fixed up my little car, Richard- I believe, was right out and under it to assess the work needed. He had a cheerful estimation and explination of what he would do and told me it would be done in approx. 45 min. When I returned from a nice morning walk the car was waiting for inspection. Richard wanted to show me his work and get my approval prior to lowering the car. The folks here seem to enjoy thier work and the peoiple they work with.

This was a simple muffler replacement. Arrival to departure was 30-40 minutes. I don't know how to say too much about this company. I've been going to them for over 30 years for exhaust system work and I started going because a coworker refereed me. In this particular case, I was hearing a funny sound that I had never heard before. I suspected that it might be the muffler, even though I couldn't find any holes in it or in any of the pipes. The worker was able to reproduce the sound almost immediately and diagnose that the muffler had just fallen apart internally. He also said that the rest of the exhaust system was fine, so it wouldn't have to be replaced.

They were very cheap fixing it. They looked over my car to see if there were any other problems. They are very honest.

WE TOOK OUR FORD TAURUS TO DUALTONE TO HAVE THE BRAKES INSPECTED BECAUSE OF BRAKE VIBRATION. AFTER THEY HAD A CHANCE TO INSPECT THE BRAKES WE WERE TOLD THAT THE WORK WOULD BE MORE EXTENSIVE THAN WE THOUGHT. WE WERE GIVEN THE OPTION OF LEAVING THE CAR OVERNIGHT OR GETTING IT LATER IN THE DAY. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND THE CAR WAS READY AT 10:00 AM THE NEXT DAY WHEN THEY SAID IT WOULD BE.

THESE PEOPLE ARE SO NICE, THAT THE ONE TIME A PIECE THAT THEY WERE WAITING FOR TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED, THE OWNER GAVE ME HIS CAR TO PICK UP A CHILD AT SCHOOL! THEY ARE SO HONEST AND ONLY DO WHAT IS NECESSARY.

THE PRICE WAS ABOUT AVERAGE. I HAD HEARD THEY DO GOOD WORK AND THAT THEY HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS A LONG TIME. THE INSTALLATION WAS DONE WELL, BUT THEY TOOK 2 DAYS TO DO THE JOB (ESTIMATED 1 DAY) AND THEIR WORKERS ARE NOT VERY HELPFUL IF YOU ASK QUESTIONS.
