Larry and his team are true professionals who did a great job on every portion of this project.  I recommend Craftsman Foundation Repair most highly!  I am very, very demanding about the quality of work done on my house, and Larry's team exceeded my expectations in every way.  Larry was extremely responsive and very flexible about adjusting work to accommodate other projects occurring in the work area. Larry's team was always courteous, and completely cleaned their work area at the completion of every day.
Craftsman foundation repair made our experience as good as it could have been.  Having worked with many construction contractors, Craftsman Foundation Repair provided the best experience and highest quality work I have seen yet.  Larry and his team are highly recommended!

Larry and his team showed up on time and did the job according to Larry's initial estimate.  All the guys at the site were friendly and professional.  The job took about 3 weeks but we never felt that our lives were interrupted.  Whenever we had questions, the guys were guick with their answers.
Overall it was a great experience.

Response from CRAFTSMAN FOUNDATION REPAIR
"This is a tough situation that as a business owner you have to deal with. The job entailed patching and repairing the stemwalls of the house, which the client wanted done prior to painting. The Client delayed the decision to the last minute and we bent over backwards to accommodate her, which meant adjusting the schedule on other jobs and disrupted our work flow, which I am happy to try to do to help our clients. I personally bid the job, and inspected the job 3 times prior to completion. My job supervisor was there every day, and in fact performed a large portion of the work himself. The portion in question (the porch) entailed patching the porch tops that included removal of large amounts of patching. I initially recommended that the porches be replaced. We are a repair company, and admittedly, we can only do limited cosmetic repairs. In this situation, the patching of the porch we did was initially not up to both our and our client's standards. I personally inspected the situation, and we decided to do additional patching and floating of the slabs. Also, the client had issues with two small areas on the outside stemwalls that needed addiitonal attention. These were done to our mutual satisfaction. I had no problem fixing these issues, and they were performed immediately. We worked on this project every day until completion, and additional time was spent because we feel it is more important to do the job right than to rush. There are multiple steps to this type of job, and they cannot be accelerated without sacrificing quality. We provide a five year warranty on all our work. On this project, we are not providing a warranty on the porch tops as we know, and informed the client in writing up front, that the patching will not last. I admit that I and my workers are human, and we can make mistakes. We did not make mistakes on this project, and I resent the implications that the low grades imply. We take a large amount of pride in our work, and I am personally insulted by this review. I met with this client on several occasions, and bent over backwards to make her happy. If she were to call with any issues today, I still would address the issues if there are any and try to make the job right."

Very professional service.  I highly recommend looking at their website for background information before you call this company (or any other) for great helpful explanation of terms and issues with foundations.  Prompt service, on time, great communication on issues to worry about and which ones were typical in age of house; great team  -- a real pleasure from start to finish.

Noticed a crack in our tile which turned out to be crack in our slab. Called Craftsman Foundation Repair. Larry Teves came out examined what we could as most of the area still was covered in tile. He explained the repair process, time and price. The price was much less than I had feared. When the tile was removed it turned out that I actaully had four cracks. Larry came back out to examine the cracked area adjusted the price by a modest amount. Very professional and customer friendly. Work was done on schedule.

Larry came out to investigate a home inspection report that indicated extensive foundation issues. Upon his review, the foundation was in good repair, but had a few places that needed strapping and seals. He performed the work about 2 months later. Work was completed in 3 days and they did a very good job. We had 2 other companies assess the situation. One said $0 and one said $11k. Larry had a super reputation and we trusted his judgement to make the proper repairs without going overboard.

They gave a very fair bid (compared to other foundation experts we called), showed up when the said they would and finished on time. If anything, they did more work than they originally said and there were no additional charges over the initial bid.

Larry Teves was creative in deciding on a plan of action. I had another foundation repair company look at the problem, and they walked away without knowing what to do.

We're waiting for a second bid before we make a decision. I've had past contact with them to evaluate other foundations. I was pleased with what their evaluations were. If your foundation has another 20 years on it, they'll be honest with you.

We bought this house in the end of May. The house is 100 years old and it is on a 100 year old cement block wall. They did a great job. Everybody I spoke to recommended them. So I did not call anybody else. I called him even before we bought a house at asked him if he would do an inspection. He checked his records and told me that one of the previous owners had had an inspection done. They had not had any work done. He sent me a copy of the report he had sent to the previous owner for free. He came and looked at it. He gave me an updated report. He briefed me about some options which he had not offered them. He gave me a set of 3 different options as to how I could approach the whole thing. The concrete block had grout missing in between the blocks. The one side that was close to sprinklers and sunshine was crumbling away. The concrete blocks were made of dirt from the site itself. There were several piers holding up the house under the main beams. He said that these beams were smaller than they should be and were not able to support the house. He said we could do 3 different levels of things. We could just do the outer perimeter. He said they could replace the piers and footings under the house which we did. He said this will be good for about 20 to 30 years. If we wanted it to last for 100 years, it could just lift the whole house and replace the entire foundation. The third option was that we could look at the house to check if the floors were sagging and straighten them out. There was the risk of cracking the walls. It depended on what we wanted to do. They did a great job. We were delighted with them. Everything was perfect. They were here every day. They were nice, friendly, polite and helpful. They did the work right away and apparently they did it right. We were totally happy. We had one old electrical circuit that kept tripping. Since we did not live there, we ended up leaving the house unlocked so that they could go in and pop the circuit breaker. One of the guys broke a water pipe while digging. They immediately called a plumber and had it fixed. It started leaking again in July which was 3 months after the work was completed. They were long done and gone. We had paid for the job. Everything was finished. My husband asked me to call them because it was their fault that the pipe broke in the first place. I called them. They took the responsibility and called the plumber again and had it fixed within two days. They agreed that it was their problem and they took care of it. We spent $20,000. We did not compare the price. It was high but it was a major job. The quality was good. They came; they did it and went away. I would use them in the future if I had a need and I would recommend them to others.

Larry was professional from beginning to end. They were able to start the work within a week and complete the work in a 5 days. Once they began work they discovered some additional damage that was not visible when the quote was given. Larry came forward immediately and said there was no extra charge, as it was something that he could not see when he made the estimate, and it was not to large, so included it without a price increase.

WORKERS ARRIVED ON TIME EVERYDAY. COMPANY OWNER OR SUPERVISORS WERE AVAILABLE TO ANSWER QUESTIONS, OVERSEE PROGRESS, AND TAKE CARE OF ANY PROBLEMS OR DETAILS. CONTRACT FOR WORK IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, CLEAR, SPECIFIC AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND. EFFICIENCY AND DEPENDABILITY OF WORKERS MADE A DIFFICULT PROJECT (LIVING WITHOUT A FRONT ENTRANCE/LISTENING TO JACK HAMMERS) MINIMALLY INCONVENIENT OR DISRUPTIVE THAN IT COULD HAVE BEEN.

THE OWNER WAS KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROVIDED GOOD INFORMATION FOR THE ESTIMATE. WORKERS WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND ON THE DAYS THEY WORKED, THEY WERE EXTREMELY PUNCTUAL. HOWEVER, DURING THE JOB, THEY WERE SHORT-HANDED AT TIMES, CAUSING A DELAY IN COMPLETION. OVERALL, THOUGH IT WAS A GOOD EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH THEM.
