I used this company because of an Angie's List "Big Deal" offer for a 22-point Fall Furnace Tune-up and a 22-point A/C Tune-up. I called and made the appointment for 12/21 at 11:00 a.m. The day of the appointment, I received a phone call at 10:00 a.m., stating they were working on a job that required more time than anticipated, and would it be possible if they could arrive around 2:00 p.m. I said that was okay. At 2:00 p.m., I received another phone call stating they were still working on the same job and could I reschedule for a different day. I said "Okay" because I had no other choice but to cancel and I had already paid for the service with my VISA card and was charged immediately, the minute I clicked the "Buy It Now" button on Angie's List. Needless to say, I was miffed, as I was on vacation and being Christmas week, could have been doing other things to get ready for Christmas, other than sitting at home waiting. On the day of the second appointment, the technician showed up on time.  I've had worse experiences and would give this company an overall "A -".

The work went well and the home is now comfortably warm. We were so satisfied with their attentive service that we scheduled them to do duct-work in our own home.

The firm's representative provided an estimate promptly, after explaining the problems with the existing heating system (I had not detected all of them).  I appreciated the range of options/prices contained in the estimate, which covered the repairs and replacements that we had discussed.  Scheduling was easy during the holiday break, and the work began and ended exactly as promised.  The work included several items that were only discovered in the course of repairs; no extra charges were applied beyond the estimate.  The professionalism of the team was first-rate; the basement area where the work was done was left spotless. I will definitely use Carini for future heating and A/C maintenance and repairs.  

They met the basic requirments of a service provider.

Arrived on time. Found the problem. Got the required part quickly. Replaced the part. Very courteous, friendly and informative repairman.

I appreciated the fact that he explained what he did, what was OK and what could be done for more efficient heating.  He gave us several options but did not pressure us.  I felt reassured that our heater was clean, everything worked, but that we could choose to do some things in the future for more efficient heating and cooling.  I would call them again.

After completing the servicing promptly and professionally, they provided an estimate for repairs that we felt was more than we wanted to spend.   We are currently discussing possible revisions to the estimate.

They didn’t seem to be quick to just tell me something that needed to be replaced. They looked for options to fix it instead of replacing the whole unit. Their customer service was an A. They were very persistent but very slow in getting me a bid. They were very professional. I would use them in the future.  

Gabriel Carini took extra time and effort to educate me on my heating and cooling options for this very unique old house. He helped me determine the best location for the new package unit, as well as the best type of system to meet my needs. He and his crew always arrived on time. The installer (Martin) and his helper left the house clean at the end of each of the four days they worked on the house. They finished on schedule and remained very receptive throughout to my requests for minor adjustments to the plan.

Day 1: Disconnect old package unit and seal penetrations into garage roof and attic of main house. Frame hall ceiling and attic wall penetrations for new supply and return ducts. Start installing duct work in attic.
Day 2: Place supports on roof in new location and install tie-down straps and seal roof penetrations. Remove old unit with crane and place new unit on roof. Continue with duct work in attic.
Day 3: Install new 220V circuit and run conduit to service panel. Relocate gas line to new location. Complete installation of package unit, electronic air filter, thermostat. Continue with duct work.
Day 4: Finish duct work, minor patching, etc. 

I selected Carini Heating and Air after receiving three competitive estimates. I believe the other two contractors would have done a very reliable job for a fair price but their proposals were not as complete and the solutions they proposed had drawbacks. I found a lot of value in the extra time that Gabriel invested before I signed the contract and the wealth of knowledge and experience that he clearly has. The heater and air conditioner are quiet and work great and the new duct work is installed very neatly in the attic.

Previous situation:
About forty years ago a previous owner of my 1938 Spanish Revival house installed a 'package unit' heater on the roof of the garage in a location that is very visible from the street. When I bought the house it was beyond repair and badly rusted. The same past-owner installed asbestos-covered duct work throughout the attic, which I had another contractor remove prior to this project.

Very well.  The tech was on-time, highly professional, thorough, and friendly.  He explained carefully everything he did and the recommendations he had.  We were very pleased and immediately agreed to the service he recommended and decided to sign up for regular maintenance.

They were very good. They did an excellent job and I would recommend their services.

Gabriel, the owner, came out to job and asked all the right questions of what we wanted to get accomplished.  He then gave his input on how to accomplish the task.  He then drew up a detailed game plan to address the issues from start to finish.  
He was very punctual, friendly and knowledgeable...also passionate about the quality of work they provide.
As promised, our quote/estimates were emailed and detailed the work to be done .

During an seriously hot spell that left my wife freaking out about her and our child not being able to sleep, she decided to have an A/C unit installed in our home. After calling around and getting a few quotes we decided to go with Carini based on their price, time estimate for completion and total professionalism both on the phone and in person. The Carini staff where very good at getting back to us and scheduling the appointment, the work crew showed up on time and when a question came up regarding the location for the install they contacted me from the site to discuss options and took my opinion and concerns into account, finally coming up with a solution for the installation that worked out great.

Since then we have had plenty of cool sleepy nights for everyone :)

Everything about this job at our house in North Park was professional, on time and high quality.  The company owner gave us a detailed analysis of our needs and although the estimate wasn’t the lowest or the highest, we received different options that gave us a range of solutions to choose from.  We ultimately chose Carini to do the job for several reasons, including a much more thorough analysis, great customer referrals from three of their customers, and a price that was fair and competitive.  We also liked that the owner of the company did the estimate and was present at different times while the work was being completed.

I solicited 3 quotes, and Carini gave me a good deal (not counting manufacturer rebate) on excellent equipment.  They gave me options, but did not push me to the highest priced option (which one other company tried to do).  Instead, they explained each option and recommended an option that was affordable yet did the job.  They also were the ONLY company to review my electrical service to see if it was adequate to handle the new air conditioner.  No one else even checked.  It turned out the house still had aluminum wiring for the service to the air conditioner, so I hired an electrician to fix that problem before the new HVAC was installed.
The installation went flawlessly, and they came back a week later to re-check everything.  I got 2 years of free spring and fall maintenance service as well.  They handled the rebate submission, too.  Every time I have called, they have been very responsive.  I haven't had a single problem with the equipment and my utility bills are significantly less.  This is a family-owned and operated company, and pride in their work shows.  I would recommend this company to anyone who wants high quality work at a reasonable price.

The project went smoothly, they had two teams in place one for the heater replacement and one for the demo and replacement of allt he heating ducts. The heater and duct work were completed in one day.  They came back 3 days latter to blow in the 3M pink insultaion. The team was courteous, very neat and on time.  I would highly recommend this company.

We solicited 3 bids and selected Carini because he bid the best product for the money. In addition, he was the only one who checked the electrical service to see if it would handle the new equipment (it would not). He installed a new Rheem gas furnace and new Rheem air conditioner. The installation was well-thought out and coordinated with an electrician who had to make repairs to the old panel as well as install new wiring. The technicians (Brian was primary) removed the old units, installed the new units, checked thoroughly for air and water leaks, instructed on the operation of the new units, and cleaned up. Since the installation, Brian has been out to do routine service (pre-season check-ups), and has been thorough, knowledgeable, and always professional. Also, the office was excellent at getting all the paperwork submitted for a rebate from Rheem. Scheduling has been easy and accommodating. Great experience!!!
