The salesman Mr. Dustin King, answered every question we had and was very well informed about not only the BMW we purchased but all the other vehicles we were considering (Acura, Lexus, and Audi). After the sale, the BMW and quot;Geniusand quot; Mr. John Zane gave us a lesson on how all the technology worked and encouraged us to return once we used the car for a week or so. We took him up on his offer. We were impressed with his knowledge and that he was willing to spend as much time with us as necessary to help us understand the vast array of capabilities of the car including the navigation system, bluetooth, voice recognition, music options, etc.

So i got a tune up from BMW and they said they would take care of an engine light but did not fix that problem. But on the other hand they fixed 1 other problem so im not too mad about it. Just that i spent $300 on the tune up.

I have used BMWSD for many years to service my cars with fair success, but their close proximity to my home helped me overcome their service quality issues. My first serious problem occurred in 2011 when I had a pre-purchase inspection done on a 2003 M5. It had a number of issues that they noted but still recommended that I buy the car, which I did. Soon afterward I discovered 11 major items including a crushed exhaust manifold, a completely rusted-out and leaking exhaust system, a failed O2 sensor required by CA law, a broken shock strut, and a broken hood shock that made it impossible to view the engine without propping up the hood with a wrench. This last item made me suspicious that they had even viewed the engine. These items cost me over $10,000 to repair.
I complained to the service advisor, Brad Lawn who said I should have seen them myself! I then called the Service Director, Glenn Prida who refused to speak to me.
In another incident with BMWSD I had a dead battery in a 1 year-old Z4 that I purchased there. It was a Friday morning and I called BMWSD to get the battery replaced but was told by a service advisor that it would take until the following Tuesday as the re-programming of the computer would take 2 days to complete! Instead, I took the car to BMW South County where the work took one hour.
These are not the only service issues with this company but certainly the last!!!

I bought a used BMW and as a first time owner, I wanted to see if there was any immediate maintenance required. Craig answered the phone, met me upon arrival did a free diagnostic and gave my wife and I a report and even showed us more about the car we didn't know. He treated us like family and gave us a HUGE sense of relief. You can go to another mechanic...but are they going to give as much care as here? It would be hard to beat!
