The repair took about 2 months, though part of the timing was due to Tesla shipping the wrong part. The repair was outstanding and my car is just like new. They are very professional and helpful during the process. I highly recommend Amato's for auto collision repair.

Horrible customer treatment. I took my Lexus in for some very minor bumper damage (distracted driver tapped me, leaving a small crease). And while Amato's fixed the damage nicely, the entire car was covered in paint overspray when it was returned to me. Now, this car is pampered - it's garage-kept, has a car cover on it every day at the office, and gets waxed about every 2 months. So you can imagine how I felt about this. When the owner came out to inspect the car, he had the gall to deny that it happened while the car was in his care. He reluctantly agreed to fix it, but his adamant denial that it happened while Amato's had the car was tantamount to calling me a liar, which was an insulting attack on my character. I was so angry that I spent 5 hours that weekend detailing the car to remove the overspray. When I canceled the appointment for Amato's to do the work and expressed my dissatisfaction with their response, they apologized "for how I felt" (not for the damage) and said I would be getting something in the mail to compensate me for my time. I really didn't want compensation - I wanted an apology. A few days later, I received an gift card envelope from Ruth's Chris steakhouse. But upon opening it, the only thing inside was a Post-It note with scribbling on it - no gift card, no apology, nothing. I guess that was Amato's way of saying "f--- you". Do yourself a favor and take your car elsewhere. No one deserves to be treated this way.

These people are not running it on his business. I have dealt with numerous autobody shops over the last 20 years, and the style and practice I have dealt with numerous autobody shops over the last 20 years. Their practices are atypical and definitely convinces the customer that they are unethical. If I ask a simple question, such as why are you calling for twice the amount of time to repair it based on the current estimate, and they can't answer that question then there is a significant problem!!

They did excellent work, very professional.

Amatos Auto Body replaced my front windshield within the same day and were extremely fair in price, and did an excellent job. Anyone that has auto body needs in San Diego should go to Amato's.

Someone broke my headlight on my Porsche Cayenne which was very unfortunate and annoying. Amato's was able to order and replace my headlight in just a few hours. They are the best in San Diego hands down!

Amatos Auto Body fixed my Range Rover quickly and did a great job. My Range Rover was hit by a baseball while parked in the parking lot of my sons baseball game. The baseball put a large dent in the door and caused some deep scratches. The door was repaired and repainted, and nobody would have been able to tell. A+ Work.

While on the freeway, I ended up behind a dump truck which was spitting dirt and rocks out of it. It got my car a few times before I could change lanes. My bumper and hood had its paint chipped and some small dents. I took it to amatos for a day and a half to get it all fixed. They called me 3 times over the period of time the car was there which was very nice. When I picked up the car, all of the dents were gone and the paint had been touched up. They even detailed it! They are awesome.

While I was driving through Arizona I ended up in sand storm which completely ruined my BMW 7 Series. All the paint on the entire car was sandblasted and it needed to be repainted. My insurance company sent my car to Amato's and it was the first time that I had ever dealt with them. They started working on the car and repainted every panel. I was very worried that the color wouldn't be the same after the paint job. But to prove me wrong, the car looked 100% new. I am very pleased with the repair and their service.

My car was hit in a parking lot by a shopping cart and did a decent amount of damage. I came across Amato's on Facebook prior to this incident and always liked their updates. So when this happened, I figured I would give them a shot. My insurance company covered all of the repairs and worked well with Amato's throughout the process. They were very very nice to me and gave me a step by step of the whole repair process. They finished my car very fast and I could not be happier with the finished product. It looked good as new, and I will come back for any other repairs that I may need in the future. Thanks Amato's!

Having owned several high performance sports cars over the years, I have had my fair share of auto body work done. Most of the time I have to repaint the front end of my car from rock chips and things of that nature. After having jumped around to different body shops, I finally found an establishment that will continue to have all of my business and that is Amato's Auto Body.
My Ferrari F430 Scuderia went through the ringer, and I completely smashed my front bumper on a steep driveway. Since the car is so low, it is hard to miss things like this. But unfortunately it caused a lot of damage and left my front bumper and fenders ruined. Immediately, I had the car towed over to Amatos and let them repair the car. I received a call from their staff and gave me the estimate for the repairs which was very fair. They then completed the car very quickly and gave it back to me looking like it came off the showroom floor.
If anyone has any question on where to go to for bodywork, I would highly recommend them to Amatos Auto Body.

Over the past few years, my Porsche 911 has accumulated a few dents and dings around the car. I generally like to make my car look nice, so I wanted to get them fixed. I searched around online for dent removal companies, but I figured it would be best to go to an auto body shop. I found this company on google and it seemed like they worked on a lot of cars. So I set up a time to drop my car off and found that they were a Porsche Factory Certified repair center which was nice. They took all the dents out within a day and did a good job. They have my vote!

I recently moved down to La Jolla, San Diego from Anaheim and was always going back and forth between the move. Driving in traffic one day, everyone came to a screeching halt and as did I, but the person behind me did not stop in time. After the accident, I had to call my insurance company and get the car fixed. Since there are not very many places that can perform bodywork on my Tesla, I searched online and found that Amato's was Tesla factory certified and had good reviews. After having the tow truck take my car there, I received a phone call instantly from the person who was handling my car. They started going over some of the damage with me and gave me a timeline that I could go off of.
They kept me informed on when the major parts would arrive and always were very courteous and helpful. They fixed my car sooner than expected and it looked good as new.
Everyone that is in San Diego should go to Amato's for any bodywork.

My BMW 328i was sideswiped and that caused a lot of damage on my passenger door. After being recommended by my friends to go to Amatos, I called them and made an appointment within 5 minutes. Once I showed up, they checked out my vehicle and started working on an estimate right away. And then I left my car with them, and they even took me to the nearest rental car station.
They finished my car very quickly, and I couldn't be happier with the turn out. They did a great job and were very helpful throughout the entire process.

This was hands down the best experience that I have ever had with a body shop in my life. In the past, I never felt comfortable leaving my car with any other shop. But at Amato's they treated me with the upmost respect and were extremely courteous. They taught me so much about the repair process, and were extremely helpful through this experience. Once I left, I knew that my car was in the right hands and did not worry one bit.
I received the car on schedule, and they exceeded my expectations. I was absolutely thrilled with their customer service, facility, and quality of work. Every car that I own will come here only for any body work.

This repair took over a month as it went back and forth with the insurance company and with ordering parts. I don't think it would have been any faster at another body shop and I doubt I would have received the same quality of work. They were good at keeping me informed on the progress. I would use them again.

The whole experience was extremely pleasant and positive. After the insurance adjuster came and assessed the damage, we took the car to Amato's. The office is beautiful, with attention to detail (which is reassuring) before they every start to work on your precious vehicle! They confirmed that they could repair it for the cost allowed by the insurance, and told us that they would carefully blend and match the paint and finish. They gave us an appointment. We took the car in on the appointed day, and they were ready for us. They arranged for the local rental car company to collect us and provide a rental while they spent the next 4 days on the repair. The car was ready on time and the result is outstanding! Absolutely no evidence of damage now, and the finish matches perfectly. These guys are the best. Reasonable price and great service.
