Workmanship was excellent. He was careful to protect the surrounding plants and garden furniture and cleaned up when he was finished. He was pleasant and polite.

I called Affinity for an estimate on a fence for a house that I inherited with my brother. We needed to have the fence line extended 5' out onto our property. The new fence was erected to my specifications and the work done on time.

Affinity Fence and Gate ownwer, Tom Gattegno, was super prompt in responding to an email inquiry I had made through Angie's List. He was able to come over shortly after so we could discuss what we had in mind. At our first meeting and throughout the whole job we appreciated Tom's great design suggestions and knew he understood and shared our vision for our house. Within a day or two Tom provided us with an estimate for each element of the project at various price points, making his skills and talent affordable. He personally built us a beautiful fence and gate (including thorough clean up) within 10 day. It is no exaggeration that his craftsmanship receives compliments several times a day, especially from other contractors. Tom was courteous and accommodating to our scheduling requests and we can’t wait for him to come back to build a pergola over our front patio!

I wanted to get a coat of finish on the wood prior to the installation because the plants against the fence would make it too difficult to do it after the installation. Tom had delivered the wood 2 weekends in advance of doing the job to give me enough time to get all of the boards painted. The neighbors and I did the demo of the old the fence on a Sunday and Tom started early Monday morning just as planned. By the end of his work day on Monday he had dug all 11 holes and set the posts in concrete. I couldn't believe he had done that much himself, he doesn't have a crew it's just Tom. The next day he had all of the wood up except 10 boards so he could get access to the other side to cut the uneven boards and the posts. the third day he finished the job, it is beautiful. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend Tom to others. I had 3 quotes and Tom's was a little cheaper than the others. I went with Tom because he does the work himself and he lives in the area.

It is gorgeous. They were on time and flexible. It was expensive. But I love it. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

We needed a new entry gate that would match a new front door we had ordered. Tom came out right away and gave an estimate based on pictures of the new door, the existing gate site, and my rough drawing. He worked with us to get the design just right and delivered the gate on time. He installed and painted it. It is beautiful and exceeds my expectations.
