Hardware & Home Improvement Stores
This store has been the icon of home improvement in Pacific Beach for decades. They excel at everything you do not like about home depot. The prices are very similar to home depot and sometimes cheaper. They have knowledgeable people waiting to help you find what you want and tell you how to do it. They have all the hard to find stuff that is not stocked in the big box stores. Best of all you can get in, get it and get out in a few minutes.
