Luggage Repair
Friendly staff assured me that they could replace the handle on my suitcase with a new one that would not be the same, but would be equally as strong. They said the repair would be done in a week and that they would call when it was done. I had not heard from them in a week, so I phoned them only to find out that they had not started on the suitcase repair. They said they would call when it was done. In another week, I had not heard from them so I called. They said the suitcase was done. They did a good job with the repair. It looks strong and matches the suitcase. Price was fair for the work. Too bad they didn't get it done on time.

Luggage Repair
The new wheel is much nicer than the old wheel. The original wheel still remaining on the suitcase and can be replaced by them at a discounted price if we bring it in. The work was done on time.

Shoe Repair
While walking on a gravel driveway, my wife tore the bottoms out of a pair of Nordstrom high-heel shoes. The gravel cracked and splintered the bottoms of the shoes, which resulted in the internal padding coming out of the shoe bottoms. I thought the shoes were ruined beyond repair. A Walker's Shoe Repair examined the shoes, provided an estimate to repair, and repaired them to as good (quite possibly better) than new. Cost: $56. Time: 2 weeks.
Based upon the good job they did on my wife's shoes, I took two pair of my rubber-soled, Mephisto loafers in to have the worn heels replaced. Another excellent job. Cost: $22 each. Time: 1 week.
Yes, the shop looks like a little hole in the wall, but the service and quality of work is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the owner takes the time to discuss your needs and options. Highly recommended.

Luggage Repair
I called two other luggage repair stores and they could not make the repair. The repair was simple and required some creativeness, which A WALKER'S SHOE REPAIR was able to do. The $17 repair enabled me to save over $300 in having to buy a new suitcase. They also added extra straps to 2 bags, which is very useful since these wardrobe bags are heavy and difficult to move with only one strap. Thanks for a job well done and at a good price!
