A PLUS PAINTING CO

We used Tony back during the recession in 2011 and he did a really good job. I even wrote a good review about him back then....
But since then, he has been charging a lot and the work is going downhill. He contracts out a lot of the work, so it felt like there was a different set of guys at our house every week. I can understand he can't do all the work, but at least use the same crew..... So the texture on some of the walls was really heavy and the seams between drywall is showing is some places. We tried to get him back and he was always making an excuse not to fix the work. You would think he would do a good job for a loyal customer who has used him for several jobs and be more responsive. It took me awhile to write this review because we still believed he was going to come back and fix some of the work, but now I'm finally given up. I am in need of a paint job for a rental we own, so the thought of hiring Tony again came to mind. But on reflecting what happened last time, we'll look for somebody else.

They did very good work and were in and out. They taped everything off and they did a great job.

He does a pretty good job. There was only one time he had his son here. Tony Kim is the one we get now and he has done a good job for us. His price was reasonable too.

We were planning to have our house painted for quite sometime. I do some research on how much will it cost me if I will do the job by ourselves. As I did my calculation, I decided to give a try on having an estimate of the paint job I wanted. So I called A plus painting and set up an appointment to get an estimate. He did not even give us an affordable estimate and its withun my budget but even suggested what color and idea of how it would look like after it's done.
We loved the work and really appreciate the job they did.

I have used them several times. The first few times, I had good results and the second time, I had to have them come back and re-touch up some stuff that wasn't done properly. He did fix it, but it wasn't done right the first time. Overall, it was good. I think he was pretty affordable and pretty responsive.

Tony is very punctual and very fairly priced. Our popcorn ceiling removal was quite a dirty job and he did such a thorough job of masking off the entire house to keep it as dust-free as possible. He applied a great texture to the ceilings and was able to find our touch-up paint in the garage to touch-up the walls after the ceilings were painted. I would recommend that you have your popcorn removed BEFORE you move into your home, but if you have to do it after, Tony was able to do it within about 5 days time (1,800 square foot house for around $3,500).
More recently, we have had monster problems with a contractor and our job was not getting finished. I called Tony to see if he could come give us an estimate to help finish our baseboards, moulding and new doors for a home renovation. He gave us a great price of $1,800 to paint, install and finish up work that our old contractor had not finished. We agreed to reimburse him for materials, which he got a better price on anyway. He said he would take 3 or 4 days to do the work and he did finish in 3 days, which was a delight. Tony is great to work with- he is very punctual and does fantastic work. Our home looks so much more finished with these touches he was able to help us complete. We will definitely be using him again in the future.

A Plus Painting Co

A Plus Painting Co, did a very good job! They left everything in order, was here about 5 days and price was good. He came the same day I called, was very professional and helpful. I was very pleased with it.

They did a great job from the beginning to the end. We had a bad experience with a previous painter (ruined the place) and Tony came in, cleaned up the mess, fixed everything, and made it look new again! I really appreciated what he did for us.

Tony is a pleasure to work with. He is very fair in his prices and a real perfectionist when it comes to doing the work. The house is transformed. The family room and kitchen were unlivable with purple striped wall paper and cabinets painted to look like they were tobacco stained and dirty. Apparently, the former owners thought this was "country charm". Who does that to their kitchen? The kitchen is now bright and inviting. The family room is a joy and the master bedroom is so inviting it is hard to get up in the morning. I believe the job was bigger than Tony originally anticipated and he ended up working 7 full days as opposed to his 4 day estimate. He never asked, nor did he expect, any additional money for the extra work. He works with his son on occasion, who is the nicest young man you could hope to meet. We will need to paint the exterior soon. I have no hesitation about hiring him again to do that job.

The painter did a good job and there were a couple of minor issues. The one thing that didn’t work out was that he removed my refrigerator so that he could paint behind it. However, he didn’t plug it back in. So, a lot of the frozen food was spoilt since I was staying somewhere else for 2 days when he was working here. If need be, then I would use the services of A Plus Painting in the future too.

It went really well, Tony gave an excellent price and his people were really hardworking (his price was ~25% lower than Brad Stoner). The house was really old and I ripped out the crown molding, so left lots of holes etc... Tony's crew fixed all that, as well as other wall imperfections, ie like holes caused by door knob slamming into the wall. There was a few minor things like paint on some fixtures, and some minor wall texture that got on the window. But will gladly save myself some money and fixing the minor stuff easily. So don't expect perfection, but you will definitely get a great price and good work. Also, we had a hard time picking paint colors and Tony was very patient with us. Overall, they did a great job. "The house looks like a new house" was my wife's first comment. I was very happy that I found this company and am going to be using them for drywall and painting the cabinet this month....

I was unwilling to get up on a huge ladder to paint the two-story living room and stairway in my "new" house, so I needed to hire a painter for the job. Being on a budget, I went with the lowest estimate - but only because I was so impressed with Tony's professionalism when he came to check out the job. Tony and his helper arrived early, worked quickly and neatly, and left the place cleaner than when they arrived. The only flaw was a small spot of paint on the ceiling, and he cleaned it up right away when I pointed it out. My living room looks fantastic and I can't wait to move in! I really appreciated Tony's accessibility. He always answered his phone or returned calls immediately. No leaving messages and playing phone tag with this guy. It was really convenient for me that he was willing to do the job on a Saturday.

We were very pleased with all the painting done by A Plus Painting. His price was very reasonable and he even added some extra painting work without changing his original bid price. He had two painters working on our job plus himself and they were also very good.

We called him on Thur, he came to give an estimate in Fri, and he started and finished the job on Sun. He was on time (actually a little early) and finished the job in less time than he quoted. We are very happy with the results.

Tony and his crew finished the job in 3.5 days. [from a Friday to finishing details on Monday] They showed up on time during the whole contract. Our house looks like a total mess since they covered everything in the house including all the floors whether tile or carpet. Tony does all the details of the painting and we find him as a perfectionist knowing he has been doing this job for over 20 yrs. We wanted wall accent on the dining room inset and fireplace in the family room and Tony would actually help/suggest the color that would fit on the wall. Overall, he and his crew really did a good job.

They came in a short time to give me a quote, which was very reasonable. They began painting soon after, and in a short time and with little inconvenience to me, did an excellent job.

He was really efficient, they did a very nice professional job. They were also very quick and very clean and good about cleaning up. They were very respectful about being around my house.

We got estimates from 4 painters. Tony underbid the others by about $1,000. He showed up on a Sunday afternoon so that we could show him which colors we wanted in which rooms. On Monday morning he was there with one other painter and painted all of the white surfaces. By Wednesday afternoon the entire job was done. It looks beautiful. After a couple of days we decided that we had chosen the wrong color for the hallways. I called Tony and he came out right away to look it over and get the new color from us (again on a Sunday). He repainted the whole thing for $150. The quality of his work was outstanding. We thought we were going to have to buy new doors for every room, completely replace our kitchen cabinets, and buy new baseboard. Tony had them all looking like new by the time he was done with them. It was an amazing transformation. I'm not sure how he did it but I think his $2,500 worth of work increased the value of our house about $20,000. He also gave us an estimate for complete repainting and stucco repair for the exterior of the house. We definitely plan to use him again. Tony was very responsive and considerate and he took a great deal of pride in his work. I highly recommend him.

They came in and painted for half the cost of what another company bid for me. They were very fast with their work. They left no mess and I was impressed with their work.

Tony and one crew member showed up on time to do the work. They worked VERY fast and finished in 3 hours. Before they left I pointed out some paint drops on my shutters and plants and he said it was not from them. I started showing him other places he missed and he said "Don't look too close, I gave you a good price". After they left I noticed large areas that they missed and I had to paint myself.

Did an outstanding job.

Tony painted the areas listed above including repairing of some areas where there was water damage. He provided the estimate the day prior to the performance of the work. The job was completed in one day. The place was left as clean as he found it. We were happy with the results and will hire them again.

Overall they did a great job. There was a team of 5 or 6 guys on the first day and 2 were there the second day to paint the powder room and to touch up. They gladly did a couple repairs that were not part of the quote. The price was competitive with the two other quotes we got. One guy washed his brushes in the kitchen sink which wasn't very good but otherwise they were very clean and professional.

The work was fine, but one of my walls where they tested the paint shows through, and they were suppose to come out and put one more coat of paint on the wall. He has scheduled three appointments and never showed up for any of them. He came by at noon on Monday, and scheduled an appointment for Wednesday at 8 am and never showed up. He agreed to come out and paint the wall, but just hasn't showed up to do so.

We called Tony on Thursday. He came out on Friday to give us an estimate. We called him on Saturday afternoon to give him the go ahead and he started the job on Monday morning. This was a quick job, as we were moving my mom in on Sunday. When we arrived at the condo on Sunday we found some problems with the paint job and clean up. We called Tony and his crew met us back at the condo on Monday morning. They applied a 2nd coat and when we arrived in the afternoon to meet Tony, the place looked great. They were just finishing the clean up and had re-installed the few light fixtures that hadn't been put back. Tony gave us a discount because the place had not been done correctly the first time. This was a rush job. I think it showed at the beginning. Overall, we were pleased with the final results. Tony was very easy to work with.
