Determined location of leaks, repaired the roof, and repaired other potential deficiencies found. The roof was tile and discontinued. They went out of their way to find replacement tiles.

They were awesome. I've used them for years. They got bids and they were a couple hundred dollars cheaper. We only priced it against one other one, but I've found over the years they are very competitive. They aren't paying me for this! You couldn't ask me for a company I liked better. I've used them for years and they've never let me down.

The experience was not so great. To make the experience better they could have been more prompt, on time and responsive.

Dan was professional and responsive. He provided photos of the work during and after the roof was completed. After the roof was finished they completely cleaned up the entire area. We are very happy with the new roof.

I hired JL Ray to inspect our roof in preparation for installing solar panels. I also wanted the eave in the front of the house replaced so the house would be ready for exterior painting. Daniel came out on August 8, 2014, inspected the roof and the eave, took pictures of the roof and made suggestions as to what needed to be repaired as well as giving me an estimate on the eave replacement.  The work was started and completed on August 21.  The work was very well done and have had no complaints with the roof since that time.  My only negative comment is that the roofers finished the repair and left without letting me know they were done, leaving my garage open and me not being clear that they were, in fact, finished until I put a call into J. L. Ray to confirm. In addition, it took an additional week to get the invoice by email and when I did receive it, the invoice said the amount was due on 8/21.  Small little glitches which would not keep me from recommending them.
 My only suggestion for better service is that those doing the repair advise when they are finished and maybe have an invoice ready so that payment could be made at that time. In the alternative, the invoice due date should be altered to allow for timely payment if provided after the fact. 
All in all, though, I am satisfied with the service from J. L. Ray

The price quoted to implement recommendations seemed high.  I expressed this opinion to Dan and he worked with me to reduce the cost.  We agreed to a not-to-exceed price and sent out a two-man crew to implement his recommendations. His crew was prompt and professional.  They did the work quickly and efficiently (completed in one hour instead of estimated two hours).  They also thought that the roof fabric need to be patched in only one area.  They checked with Dan (who did the original inspection and made the recommendation) who concurred.  The total price for the job was reduced accordingly to match the reduced scope of work. All interactions and communications with everyone at J.L. Ray Company were professional and courteous.  
One disappointment is that there is no warranty on this work.

Arrived on time and did a great job and provided pictures of the completed work.

With that last rains, we developed a little leak in the roof.  We called a few roofers out and Daniel was the first to reply and come out. He came when he said he would and fixed the roof right on the spot. He  was honest. He said our roof was in great shape, it just needed a little fixing. Love honesty.  When it comes time to get a new roof, you can bet we will be calling Daniel out.  Prompt, fair, honest. What more can you ask for?

A professional group that were respectful. organized work,  and clean up very well afterwards .  Started off with inspection and then reported what can be covered with the Angie's Deal purchase.  First inspection, they missed a back section where a title was missing, so mentioned that and they went came back out to inspect if again and included in the deal.  Got the items fixed and received a full report with the recommendation of fixing the section above the overhang. We played phone tag to set up the initial inspection and dealing with several different folks and different numbers and emails was time consuming, and could be better at have a central info center. Yes, I will use them again since their work was great.

Excellent service, crews and finished product. Dan did a thorough and professional job on the estimnating process and was flexible in scheduling the work in 2 phases. The job went as scheduled with no interruptions or other issues. The price was fair and resonable for the amount of area re-roofed. J L Ray will be doing the 2nd half of the roof in a few months.
